Logan Schaeffer has a +44 wRC this year. That's basically Mark Ellis.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-18-2014 09:58 PM

Please, stop with the ****ing bunts. Just stop.

kcpasco 09-18-2014 10:01 PM

My God that is just some horrible luck

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-18-2014 10:25 PM

Worst Cardinal offense in a generation.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-18-2014 10:39 PM

If Holliday reads that right there's a runner on third with one out.

Yep, we tangle again. Hopefully, we can also beat Kershaw again too.

BigRedChief 09-19-2014 10:13 AM

We are playing 3 crappy teams the rest of the way.
Math is becoming a problem for the Pirates.

If the Cardinals go 5-4, the Pirates have to go 8-2 to tie.

I hope the Brewers can get 2 out of 3 this weekend.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-19-2014 10:36 AM

The Pirates are 11-2 in their last 13 and play rat shit teams that have totally collapsed, too.

They'll need 6-3, minimum, to tie Pittsburgh. They are white hot.

Welllll our pitching is white hot. I'll take white hot pitching in the playoffs over hot offense.

Kershaw and Grienke are top shelf. They will be hard to beat.

O.city 09-19-2014 08:32 PM

Lotta hard hit balls tonight, not much to show for it.

O.city 09-19-2014 08:38 PM

Rosenthal is a headcase

Jewish Rabbi 09-19-2014 08:45 PM

You know, however this ends, thank god Matheny pulled Rosenthal.

O.city 09-19-2014 08:49 PM

They'll continue to let him close and he ll cost us a playoff series

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-19-2014 08:56 PM

I've said it for months: Rosenthal is a ****ing choke artist.

O.city 09-19-2014 08:57 PM

I wish siegrist didn't get hurt, I'd rather see him close

TrebMaxx 09-19-2014 08:58 PM

Anyone but Rosenthal! JFC!!

TrebMaxx 09-19-2014 09:03 PM

Whew! We survived another episode of Rosensuck.

He has been hit hard this year. Still like his stuff long term though.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-20-2014 08:30 AM

Just a little something to remember: relievers are relievers because they aren't good enough to start.

They are the kickers of baseball. Never, ever trust a kicker.

O.city 09-20-2014 08:32 AM

I'm not sure what they'll try and do with Rosenthal after this season. He wants to start, I'm not sure he's got the nerve for it.

Yep. give him a chance to start in spring training. Tell him to prepare for starting. Martinez needs to close. Nesheck isn't ready for prime time. He seems to be lights out and happy with the 8th inning. Don't change that.

I know Martinez is a tight rope walker pitcher. But he has top shelf stuff. Let Molina teach him to settle down and let talent win the day.

since Molina came back 0 era for Martinez. He carved up the Reds in the 9th. No one even come close to hitting him.

Not much right now. Still might be a tad early. Our Bullpen sucks so bad, but right now our offense is on fire like i never seen before. We are just scoring so many runs right now.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-21-2014 02:13 PM

St. Louis is only a game back of LA right now. Still, I'm hoping that Washington goes on an eight game losing streak. I want no part of you ****ers. We've been lucky against Kershaw, but he's too damned good for that to continue.

With our offense, it doesn't really matter. You could trot out that dog-eating mother****er Ryu and shut us down, too.

I just selfishly want a home playoff game that I can attend and not have to cancel PTs an shut down the office!

kcpasco 09-21-2014 08:40 PM

This Tuiwhoeverlala guy isn't ready. Thanks for punting a 3-2 game Mike.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-21-2014 08:57 PM

No, he's not. Typical Matheny stupidity there. Neshek in the 8th was the common sense move. That was still a winnable game.

kcpasco 09-21-2014 09:03 PM

Ya I know we clinched a playoff spot today but I would rather not have to face SF in a 1 game playoff. For some odd reason they own our ass and I would rather face Kershaw then that ****ing team.

kcpasco 09-21-2014 09:09 PM

Have the Birds ever scored 1 single run off Chapman? The guys ERA has to be 0 against us.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-22-2014 07:12 PM

Thank God Jay was able to come through there. Doughboy has turned into a 330 lb Kozma.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-22-2014 08:00 PM

Thank God we came out hot tonight, because the ****ing Pirates are going to win about 400 straight games.

Kozma hit the ball hard. Broken clock is right twice a day analogy is needed.

Pittsburg blew it when they got swept. We are going to bring this home and a hot Pirates team will take out someone in the playoffs for us. I'd love to play the Pirates in the NLCS with HFA. We own those guys.

O.city 09-22-2014 09:24 PM

Then why do you hear quote after quote from the players saying.....we need to find a way to get past the Cardinals. The Cardinals are the measuring stick. We have to beat the Cardinals if we want to beat the best. etc.

Moot point. The odds of us playing a another game against each other this year are way too long.

The same way that everyone used the Yankees as a measuring stick for so long.

Shelby gives up a 2 run bomb. Seems to be struggling with location tonight. He always misses high when he's off

O.city 09-23-2014 06:44 PM

Grichuk swinging a hot bat.

Pittsburgh leading the Braves 3-2. They just cannot lose right now.

Mi_chief_fan 09-23-2014 07:03 PM

No matter who they face in the playoffs, they'll face a better pitcher than this guy every game. Doesn't inspire confidence.

You guys are hilarious.

Kyle Hendricks has given up more than 2 ERs 2 times. Quit bitching about him doing what's he done to literally every team he's ****ing faced.

On the Cubs, of all teams, he has 7 wins in 12 starts. His current ERA would place him at 4th best and his current WHIP would place him 9th best in the entire MLB. Hendricks is slinging it right now.

We are spoiled. This is a golden era of Cardinal baseball. People expect to be in the World Series EVERY year and win it or the whole season is a failure.

We have looked like shit a lot of this season. But in the end, we have a chance for the 2nd best record in the NL and a division title, again.

O.city 09-23-2014 08:31 PM

Adams with a shit**** atbat, then another by Peralta, and Yadi (surprise surprise) goes up there hacking at pitch #1.

Adams until he gets more consistent should never be batting 4th. Peralta has swung at that inside pitch off the plate all season. Molina swings at first pitches. So yeah, typical.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-23-2014 08:39 PM

I wish I could not believe that Matheny would open the door for a huge inning by putting a runner on first there.

Just moronic.

O.city 09-23-2014 08:41 PM

Walking guys to set up double plays. In the bottom of the 8th inning. In a pennant race.

Sure.

O.city 09-23-2014 08:43 PM

God, that 0-1 pitch, missed his spot by a foot.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-23-2014 08:43 PM

He's throwing the slider too much.

O.city 09-23-2014 08:45 PM

Figured he'd flip a cement mixer up there eventually.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-23-2014 08:45 PM

That AB scared me. Slider breaks right into a LHB's sweet spot and Yadi just kept calling it.

just managing as the textbook says to manage somewhere. Set up the double play. But if Wong is hitting .296 against lefties why start Kozma who is hitting .209 against lefties just because he is right handed? What management textbook is that in?

Martinez always seem to pitch better when there is men on base and chance at blowing the games. Wonder what batters are hitting with RISP against him?

Martinez is our closer when Rosey finally melts down. Nescheck doesn't seem to handle the 9th or closing. But, he's lights out in the 8th.

His 1st and 3rd pitch to Coghlan were just begging to be hit a long way.

O.city 09-23-2014 08:49 PM

The Cardinals hit more weak fly balls to the outfield than any one.

I guess it's an improvement from earlier in the year, when it was all ground balls.
