Raw used to be 2 hours long, yes?

There was over an hour of bullshit that could have been cut out of the show. Easily.

Reaper16 08-04-2014 09:43 PM

Seriously though, if we all don't subscribe to the Network there might not be a WWE at all in three years. The financial future of the company absolutely depends on the Network's success, and the company is BLEEDING money right now because they only have 700,000 subscribers.

The good thing is that it is a ****ing awesome product that's worth more than what they charge for it.

I agree with this completely. This WWE Network is the most fan friendly thing I've ever seen a company release. I was really hoping it would do well, and I am disappointed with how few subscribers they're have been. If it had done well, maybe other companies would follow suit on something similar. Anybody who has ever been a wrestling fan and has a little bit of disposable income owes it to themselves and the sport to buy the subscription. It's a wonderful package just based upon the fact that you can watch any ppv in the history of the WWE, WCW, and ECW. Just a great deal.

Lesnar was the only choice tonight after he ended Undertaker's streak.
... and I'm not a big Cena hater either.

Setting up for Reigns to beat Cena at Mania.

I heard the actual match was terrible, though.

Sassy Squatch 08-17-2014 09:21 PM

Cena had 3 or 4 offensive moves/flurries. That's it. Rest was Lesnar German suplexing him and ground and pounding him.

The Reigns/Orton match? It was pretty boring. A few nice spots but lots of vintage-Orton rest holds.

Sassy Squatch 08-17-2014 09:23 PM

Also obvious they just threw Cena in Daniel Bryans place. Would have made more sense if Lesnar decimated him.

The Cena/Lesnar match was awesome. The opposite of terrible. It was never going to be a match about workrate. This was a match about a story. A brutal, physical story.

I was super excited to watch Ambrose-Rollins. But I already know that Kane interfered, so excitement is gone. The Kane interruption is completely played out. He needs to go away for good.

I don't understand the love for Zigler that everyone else has, but I'm going to watch with an open mind.

I agree. In the little bit that I've watched since Cena won the belts, Rollins and Ambrose have been by far the best watch. Unbelievable what those two do.

Speaking of which, the money in the bank match with those two in it was absolutely sick until....you guessed it, Kane interfered. What's sad is I knew it was coming. When the audience knows it's coming, and can depend on it, it's no fun.

NXT is still the best thing going in the WWE. Top to bottom, tonight was a fantastic show.

Reaper16 12-12-2014 07:16 AM

NXT is pretty much my favorite thing in the world right now.

If any of you guys haven't watched NXT lately, or at all, go on Hulu (or the WWE Network, if you have it) and watch the last three episodes, culminating in the live 2-hour show from last night.

Every single thing about last night's show was good. Most of it was fantastic. Kevin Owens' (Kevin Steen) debut was memorably violent; Finn Balor (Prince Devitt) brought his NJPW body paint & entrance flair over to NXT for the first time; Charlotte & Sasha Banks tore the house down with their match because women's wrestling on NXT is superb; the main event between Sami Zayn & Adrian Neville was their best match yet.

NXT is the ****ing best....Steen's debut was badass, loved Balor's entrance and paint job, the Zayn/Neville match was awesome and the ending was incredible.

That was easily the best WWE show of 2014...

58kcfan89 12-13-2014 12:26 PM

My only problem is I don't want to see these guys get called up to the main roster and go the way of Bo Dallas & Adam Rose. Zayn has a little Bryan in him in terms of charisma, but will Vince & Co. give him that chance?

The tag match with Ascension & Balor/Itami was rad and I generally hate tag matches (or at least the WWE idea of "let's just throw 4 guys in the main event together every week"). But I'm worried that Ascension just turns into a cooler version of The Dust Brothers on the main roster and that Balor & Itami never get the chance to showcase themselves to a big audience.

Don't get me wrong, that show was great, arguably the 2 best shows of the year have been NXT shows. I just hope these guys get the same chance on Raw some day.

I wasn't really paying attention when he was there, but I seem to remember at least a few people who were excited by him. My point remains the same though, that these NXT guys need a good opportunity on the main roster. Rose & Dallas basically got 2 weeks to get over with bad segments & squash matches and when it didn't work, they got turned into jobbers.

I watched the WrestleKingdom 9 PPV with Jim Ross and Matt Stryker doing the commentary earlier this month and I am absolutely sold on the New Japan matches. It's extremely entertaining.

I hate Roman Reigns. So, so much. After Bryan was eliminated, you knew how it was going to end. :(

I really hope it gets to the point that the crowd is cheering Lesnar against Reigns at Mania.

If it ends up being Brocks vs. Roman in the main event of Mania with no Rollins appearance, I might be done with the damn Network.

Rollins will cash in his Money in the Bank contract when Reigns beats Lesnar at Mania I'm guessing.

I'll still be cheering for Brock though.

CoMoChief 01-25-2015 11:26 PM

Did Sting do anything ?

Heard The Rock showed up, helped out his cuz Roman Reigns win the RR.

It was obvious Lesnar would continue to hold the title...his contract expires right after WM, they're going to milk that for all that it's worth...even if it's him showing up for a few times a month (if that).

Love the APA....JBL's clotheslines from hell still makes me cringe.

Yeah this is what kills me the most. It's like Vince woke up, heard the crowd chanting for Bryan (or Ambrose. Or Cesaro. Or Ziggler...) and said "no, **** them, what they really want is Roman Reigns."

It doesn't make any ****ing sense. And the hell of it is I'm not as mad as I am disappointed. I think we all saw this coming in the middle of last year. It's predictable and not entertaining at all. The only reason to watch at this point is to see how bad the crowd will hijack it (or pray that Seth cashes in. That kid's been awesome).

'Hamas' Jenkins 01-25-2015 11:54 PM
