Fasano with Moeaki back up. I like it. Would like to see us nab Sean Smith tonight or tomorrow, i like our chances with TB on Gholdson and Revis, SF on other free agent and the Eagles not interested

And I'm sick of reading you bitch about overpaying guys when we have done nothing but bitch that Clark is cheap for years and we got Bowe for 9 million less than Mike Wallace. |

Fasano has only dropped 3 passes in the last 3 seasons.
He was the dolphins main target. |

Just had that exact discussion with 1 exec. RT @greggrosenthal: One surprise: Cornerbacks aren't getting the money they expected. |
Good, maybe we can get ours on the cheap.

Sean Smith will be a Chief, only a matter of time. His agent said look out for Chiefs, 49ers and Eagles. Eagles have signed 2 other DBs, 49ers are targeting Charles woodson. KC is a lock

Hearing that KC might ask QB Alex Smith to restructure his contract for a little cap room. No cut, just shift. This is how bad kc cap is |

HAHAH you pissed off fans are funny. Because we didnt sign Wallace, Goldson, Welker, Ed Reed, etc the world has ended lol. Were only 6 hours into free agency, we got the draft and end of preseason cuts where you can pick up good players also

Since its clear we are drafting Joeckel, we really ought to see what the trade market is for Albert since he's more than likely gone after this year. I think we could get a 2nd for him

I think the Chiefs have gotten really good value in FA thus far. We're using FA to fill needs so we can take follow the draft board in April.
We haven't really done much restructuring or even had to be creative yet either, nor have we dumped Cassel so I don't see why we can't continue to fill needs. I think the next hole is at WR. Maybe a slot guy like Amendola, or a speed guy. But there's still a lot of value out there, IMO. |
Just like the Dolphins have been blowing money. Doesnt equate to much
|
Quote:
If you are equating quality with money, then I don't know what to tell you. The Chiefs filled holes today. It wasn't paying Desmond Bryant tons of money or Jared Cook, but they are better than they were yesterday. I agree they need a corner and an inside linebacker. I'm not thrilled about Alex Smith or Chase Daniel but I'll give it a chance first. |

If we signed Ellerbe and Wallace some of you would be complaining because we overspent SMFH. Just like some complained Bowe was overpaid
|
Updated.
It should be noted that a ton of shit happened today. |
I like what we have accomplished so far in both FA and trades.
I know Alex Smith may be a pricey trade but if he really performs, then it's not bad. I also like Mardy Gilyard. I liked him in college and know he hasn't lived up to his potential but maybe he can come around. DeVito is a real good pickup and I think he will perform better than expected and be a pleasant surprise for Chiefs fans. Fasano is a much better tight end than anything we had an will give Moeaki a run for his money. Dunta Robinson and Hasain Abdullah are excellent additions to our weak secondary. |
The Chiefs are "trying to trade" Matt Cassel.
They won't succeed. The Chiefs can't afford to carry Cassel's $7.5 million salary for much longer if they plan to make any more moves in free agency, and will likely release their deadweight quarterback some time in the next 48 hours. Ricky Stanzi should be on his way out of Kansas City, as well. |
WTF is up with this update on NFL.com:
Brandon Carr | CB Previous Team: Dallas Exp: 5 years Analysis: ESPNDallas.com reports the Cowboys flew Carr to town on Jerry Jones' private plane and signed him to a mega deal. |
