If this is true, then Whitlock is even more dead on about absentee ownership. No ****ing way Clark has a clue what his fans want if he thinks Pioli needs to be extended. |

wait, has the rumor been substantiated?

I think Polio just became THAT GM as in THAT KICKER |
The thought of this franchise finally hitting on a franchise QB only to have a GM so inept that he sabotages any potential success just makes too much sense for this town.

One QB to rule them all. Look, you dramatic bastards, it's ****ing simple: IF THE CHIEFS WIN (Which means they've drafted a Franchise QB and he's working out well) 1. No one will give two ****s about what Clark hunt is doing or where he lives. 2. No one will give a shit how many Candy Wrappers are left in the hall or who's phones are tapped. 3. No one will be talking about the cost of the tickets, parking or beer 4. No one will remember the Haley debacle or the Cassel sexcapade. Winning cures everything. Drafting a Franchise QB is 90% of the solution. |
If it's gonna be like this, I wish they'd just move the franchise to LA, so I could be done with them.

So maybe Clark Hunt is just completely ****ing ignorant. Maybe that's what it comes down to.
|
So ... let's say that the Chiefs draft a good QB ...
Is Roleo the man you want developing that guy? Zorn will likely be gone since he was unable to magically convert Cassel into a quarterback. FAX |
Only hope is Hunt started this rumor to see the feedback.

I heard some Mitch Holthus on KK's show yesterday (I think). He was all Baghdad Bob spinning the season. "If we can win this game in Tampa, and we CAN win it, we get rested up a week. The defense is coming along. We play easier teams the rest of our schedule, the AFC West is wacky...we might be in the thick of this thing."
Yikes, and the Chiefs think the FANS are delusional???? |

You think the many, many OC's Cassel has had have failed to teach Cassel how to go through his progressions? Or do you think that Cassel simply isn't talented enough to do it, despite being taught? What great QB did the Colts staff "create"? Outside of Manning, If you want to credit them for that, no one. Patriots? Niners? How long did it take the Steelers to find one? Saints? The QB either has greatness in him, or he doesn't. He'll either figure it out, or he won't. I assure you, Tony Dungy didn't "develop" Peyton Manning. |

This is like the business decision version of DT dying via car accident.
The franchise is lying in a hospital waiting for the blood clot. Candlelight vigil for our Chiefs? http://a.espncdn.com/media/nfl/2000/...oto/a_fans.jpg |

Guys, you can inhale from the magic bong all you want, but Peyton Mannings don't come along very often.
What is far more common is a situation in which a young quarterback has to be developed ... acclimated ... for awhile. How many times have we seen quarterbacks with high potential eventually bust because they were improperly handled in the beginning? Sure, it's possible that you can strike gold with a rookie QB who requires no coaching or mentoring or assistance in making the adjustment to the NFL, but ... wow ... unlikely would be an understatement. Let's be realistic for a moment. It makes far more sense to install a coach who can help a young guy develop ... regardless of his initial talent level or skill ... than simply hope that we hit on a Manning. FAX |
Is Pioli Clark's Cassel?
Perhaps there's some degree of ego in this. Clark doesn't want to be wrong about Pioli. |

Some people might make the case of Andy Reid, but even then that's not really all that strong of an example. And agreed about the Patriots. Bill is starting to look a bit old and crusty. He's put in a lot of years as an HC. I'm wondering if he doesn't just close up shop when Brady retires. I would hate that because I wouldn't get to see how he would do without his precious. Something tells me Ryan Mallett isn't a good long term answer for the team at all. |

What's the difference between him and Clark? Is Clark just a cheapass because he doesn't live in Kansas City and hardly ever interacts with the team or community? Or is he loyal to a fault like his father was to Jack Steadman and Carl Peterson? |

Let me put it like this: Some students have a hard time understanding Algebra. You can explain an equation to Matt over, and over and over again. His tutor can explain it over, and over and over again. And on Test day, Matt still hasn't figured it out. Now, that same teacher can explain that algebra problem to Andrew just once, and Andrew has it down. Now, over the course of the next 16 tests, new formulas will have to be explained, but it won't take long for Andrew to figure them out, he'll just need some practice since these tests are constantly throwing new and exotic equations at him. Eventually, because of Andrews acute ability to solve math problems, he'll get it all down. Matt on the other hand.....well....16 tests into the course, and he's still struggling with that first equation. We need an Andrew. Not a Matt. And there are plenty of Andrews in the NFL. There might be only one Peyton, but plenty of Andrews. |
how can you fail at everything and be rewarded?
you save money for a cheap ass bastard like Clark who only cares about money...shove your cash cap up your ass he hired two failed coaches the staff is comprised of losers he wasted 4 years on Matt Cassel after 4 years, our QB roster reads like a sick joke: Cassel, Quinn, Panzi Tyson Jackson he hates the fans...this can not be said enough - HE HATES THE FANS clark has sanctioned pioli's hatred of us by re-signing him the fans hate this ****ing shit eating franchise because of scott pioli no one with an ounce of pride will work for a micro-managing, arrogant, prick failure our team blows yaks just like the acquisition of Cassel meant that the next 4 years were over before they happened, the re-signing of pioli means the same...whatever the length of his contract, that is already a period of failure for the chiefs jesus this is depressing...we are ****ed in the ass |
This is crap. Absolute crap.
Remember the conversation about how people should just go tailgate out at the stadium but not go in to go watch the game? Bully idea. That will be my stance with these pissants until Pioli and his guys are out the front door. |
My buddy scored me free club seats to the Ravens game. I won't even do that from here on out, as I might drop a few bucks on food and beverages.
Parking costs. That is as much as I'm willing to spend on this heartbreaking team. |
