Those Judge revolvers shoot the .45 Colt (sometimes called a 'long Colt') not the .45acp, but hey...I might miss the barn with those, too. For nightstand duty I'd load something like these:

As for my analysis of the Jackson pick, it's a reach. But color me ambivalent. I wanted like hell to trade down, but when I saw what the Browns got I'm glad we didn't take a package of shit like that. Jackson isn't ideal at #3, but he's more valuable to us than Curry or Monroe would have been. |

Has this been an exciting day? Not by a long shot, but it's far from the "epic collapse" that some are painting it to be. I would have preferred to have drafted Sanchez and keep our 2nd rounder, but in fairness, he's no more of a sure thing than Cassel. We'll see if Pioli made the right decision. |
Quote:
Does anyone honestly believe this franchise coveted Jackson? WHO THE **** IS THIS GUY???? Fail. Complete and utter fail. |

How the hell do you know that? The guy hasn't played a down in the NFL and you have him as a complete bust. I think I'll wait to see how he does for a year before I call him and Poli losers and the pick a "bust." |
I don't mind the Jackson pick, its way to high for him but he is a nice fit in the 3-4. Cassel better produce, Pioli's ass rides on that one.
|
Well, let's see what Chiefsplanet users said before the draft:
We shouldn't take Smith or Monroe because that would be like drafting a guard or right tackle at #3 due to Albert We shouldn't take Curry because he isn't a pass rusher and doesn't fit the 3-4 We shouldn't take Crabtree because he didn't come from a pro style offense We shouldn't take Orakpo because he's Vernon Gholston 2.0 So we take Tyson Jackson and people gripe. WTF was Pioli supposed to do. No one wanted to trade up. |
Quote:
It's about having the VALUE of this draft surgically removed from Pioli's poot-chute with a ****ing claw-hammer by people who are not supposedly as "smart" as he is!!! Look, the bottom line is, this season rests squarely on the shoulders of one Matt Cassel, and he better ****ing produce. That's the road we took, that's the path that has thus far made this draft a complete ****ing joke on our end, so it better be lined with gold ****ing bricks from Arrowhead to the Super Bowl. Bottom line, there it is; roll with it. |
Quote:
Do I believe this franchise coveted Jackson? Based on how Pioli is gushing over this guy, you don't think the Chiefs' front office is ecstatic? |
Quote:
We're trying to build for the long term. |
I'm not mad at the Tyson Jackson pick, I would have preferred Monroe to anchor the line for a long time, but I'm not mad.
The thing that I'm mad about is this city loved Tony Gonzalez, and when we all heard a 2010 2nd rounder for him we raised our eyebrows. People said that "Hey it's a second!" but the rest of us knew that if you don't get anything that directly affects this year then you have wasted your time and just traded away the best offensive weapon you have this upcoming year. Unless they turn that 2nd rounder into a 3 and a 5 this year or a 3 and a 6 then I will be utterly dissapointed. |
Quote:
We still have 2 years of drafting and FA dealings before we have a shot of taking it to the next level IMHO. We are not going to go from last years record to the big dance in one or two years period. The team has to fill in all the pieces before we can make a run and there are a lot of pieces. As far as Cassel, you bet he needs to produce, but we damn well better get him some kind of line or he is going to get killed. I hope we can get him some protection either in this years draft, of after the fact, or it will be really ugly. |
Quote:
I'm sure that Cassel will be fine. |
I know that the 3rd pick was a little WTF, but comparing our only single pick to Denver's, Oakland, and Chargers, all of their picks have been pretty much very shitty.
It actually makes our pick look ****ing good, somehow. |

Two years, that's what I meant. All other points remain the same. And for the love of ****; do you think Pioli is going to do anything OTHER than gush over a first-round pick??? Jesus ****ing Christ you people! :doh!: |

Here's the correction: Quote:

Jesus, it's like some people expected Pioli to pull Curry, Crabtree, and Monroe out of his ass all on the first day.
Pioli walked into the organization with a shitty team. He chose to go for Cassel, a proven guy from which he knows will play at a certain level instead of a college kid with one starting year under his belt. He let TG go for a 2nd round pick next year in a draft that is expected to have more talent. I love TG but odds are the guy would have never worn a SB ring as a Chief. Pioli did both sides a favor. I'm more than willing to let him build the team his way. It was never going to be fixed in two years and if you thought that you're a fool. I totally understand being a Chief fan that you look at every move with pessimism but for Christ sakes after living through the Peterson years I'll give a guy with a proven track record a lot more time than 4 months. From what I've seen of the first two rounds just be thankful you're not a Raider or Donk fan. I think those guys have real issues with the brains upstairs. |
Quote:
We needed Monroe like we needed Carlton Gray. We'll get help for the line tomorrow, and we'll be ALOT better off for it. |
Bottom line about this draft is all about Cassel. If he succeeds then we win if not we are screwed especially if Sanchez turns out. It really has nothing to do with Tyson Jackson. He was the right pick for our situation, granted it was a little high for him but it was the right choice.
|
Quote:
I just wish we could play football tomorrow to wash the stink of this day out of my head. |

Pretty much sums it up for me too. |

Can I have ONE ****ING PLAYER per draft that has some Voodoo??? Just one. That's all. |
This has the potential to be one of the worst offseason ever in chiefs history
We have one of the worst Coaching Staff's I think i've ever seen A QB who only played one year in a gracious system instead of drafting a Franchise QB A total $#%$ing Reach of a pick in the 3rd A Over paid Runingback who doesn't want to be here And to top it all off we traded our number 1 offensive weapon with no plan to replace him. This might go down as one of the most historically Bad season's ever. |
