That was Orlando’s fault. He was offered way more than he actually received, and then out of spite left.

Well, the Chiefs are going to find out for themselves now, hopeful he pans out better than the J. Taylor acquisition

Brown signed for less money

Maybe in allowing Trent Williams to go to SF. We ended up with Thuney though, so hard to say.

Maybe. We did win a SB without him and made it to another. He's been kind of MEH in Cincinnati.

We tried and even offered more than the Bengals IIRC

The revisionist history is amazing with OBJ.

Chief Fan doesn’t remember how much he hated OBJ.

Chief Fan also doesn’t seem to remember how OBJ and that rookie agent ****ed up the negotiation of that extension, which hurt both the Chiefs and OBJ.

It seems like the LT position is almost impossible to fill without a top-ten pick, and even then it's dicey. Pass rushers these days are insanely athletic.

Eric Fisher was a #1 pick, and he was imperfect. Orlando Brown, Jr., was a brontosaurus and he was imperfect. We've spent second-day picks on Kingsley and Wanya who have had a hard time (so far) adjusting.

I'm starting to conclude that top-notch left tackles do not grow on trees.

Watch this guy morph into Willie Roaf.

Wisconsin_Chief 03-10-2025 10:46 AM

Can’t believe this ended up being the best they could do. We gave up Thuney for a left side of Jaylon Moore and Kingsley? That’s our solution after what we just saw in the Super Bowl?

These guys have made a lot of the right moves over the years even when they appeared questionable, but I don’t think I’ve ever been as uncomfortable as I am with this current plan unfolding. I’ll leave them to do their thing, but man. Hope for the best.

Hopefully not current-day Willie Roaf

Probably the best option we had for a solid vet that could be a bandaid.

Still a mystery box.

chiefzilla1501 03-10-2025 10:48 AM

So… I love this move. It is a bandaid. And we now have two guys who are locked in but moveable next year at OT. Much better than a long term deal with a guy we’re meh about. Best case he plays well. this gives veach the charge to overload with OTs to find good value somewhere.

LagunaSWana 03-10-2025 10:48 AM

“Falls forward and out of the play when hands get wiped out early.”

Yikes. That sounds familiar. That said, I’m sure he’s an upgrade to our patchwork at LT last season.
