I hate the idea of trading for older WR's but Dhop is just so damned good that I think it's worth a shot. I think of Randy Moss going from the Raiders to the Patriots.
I'd also be willing to take Theilen for a year.... As we've seen with players like Moore, and even Jamar Chase... it's hard to come into the NFL and be ready to go as a WR, especially in Reids offense. So relying on another rookie seems a little risky. |
Count me in for DHop.

We are almost certainly going to sign *someone* before the draft.
Campbell and Slayton are off the board. Chark is visiting the Panthers tomorrow. - OBJ? - Trade for Hopkins? - Trade for Brandin Cooks? - Adam Thielen? - Mecole Hardman? - Mack Hollins? - Jarvis Landry? - Nelson Agholor? |
Dhop has pulled ahead in the poll! Schefter should be reporting this.

Sign Jalen Guyton (6'1" 212, 4.39). Speed guy that has a couple of decent years of production in the NFL in 2020 and 2021 with the Chargers.
Sign Marquez Callaway (6'2" 205, 4.55). Possession type that runs great routes and makes tough catches away from his frame with good production in 2021 with the Saints. Draft Jahmyr Gibbs, Alabama (5'9" 199, 4.36). Speed and agility jack of all trades to fill a hybrid Slot/McKinnon role. Profit. The core competition to whittle to 6: K. Toney M. Valdes-Scantling S. Moore J. Gibbs J. Guyton M. Callaway J. Ross I. Smith-Marsette |
Stay as far away from OBJ and DeHOP as you can! These are brands in the likes of A.J. Green, Julio Jones and the likes. Move forward with youth and draft the likes of Mingo, Mims or Perry. Keep the youth movement going! :thumb:

One of Chark/Thielen/Pringle + Day 2 or better pick at WR should do it tbh.
I'd be okay with bringing back Hardman but I think a stupid team will price us out of the running. |

Hmmm... Why not DJ Chark?
6-4, 205 lbs & Fast 26 yrs old Made $6m last year and needs a career boost similar to JuJu. Could probably produce similarly to JuJu. |

And while Veach emphasizes getting younger players, he’s also had recent success with signing older veterans… especially at DE. He can do the same now at WR. |
In theory is never wrong!

Some people are so far off on Hopkins it's insane. Just like Jawaan Taylor. It can only be where those guys play, and how little attention people are apparently paying.
Last year he paced for 120 catches and 1350 yards with absolute gutter trash QB play. Yes, he's older and no, we shouldn't trade a fortune for him, but that's not gonna happen. For the right price, for a couple years, he'd absolutely be a legit go-to WR for Pat. Chances are we won't get him, and I won't lose any sleep - there are other options I like and Pat's gonna make whatever he has work. But if we do get him it'll be a damn exciting prospect. |
I'd say...
Option 1: DJ Chark under $10m Option 2: OBJ under $15m Option 3: Hopkins Trade = Pick + Absorb his $20m Contact I like all three options, can't miss! Let's go! |
