Both teams are professionals. You dont blow many people out in the NFL.

Chief Fans tend to ignore this fact for whatever reason. All-world Buffalo beat the Jets by 8 today. The Ravens beat the Steelers by 2. Dallas beat Houston by 4. Hell, Seattle lost to Carolina.

It's the NFL and it's hard. Period.

Ok, when were we "close" to losing?

Pretty sure he's talking about when we didn't blitz. When we didn't blitz we couldn't get any pressure. When we did, we either got the sack or allowed a first down.

Like I have said before…our defense lives and dies by the blitz

Unacceptable.

And Mahomes is careless with the ball today.
Many of his passes were off...All three of his picks were terrible.

Yeah, he was way out in front or well behind a lot of his receivers, just off.

Expecting your QB to not throw 3 ints in a game is not a ridiculously high standard.

JFC...what QB would you rather have? Mahomes bad days are better than 95% of the leagues qb's--I am willing to bet there were not five performances today that were better--even with the INTs.

I think we see so much incredible play from Mahomes, we discount when his performance is simply very good. He was good/very good today....but we expect so much more it is easy to pile on and call it shit.

Agreed today really showed it. My appreciation for what Hardman brings has gone way up in this stretch.

Also only 2 of Mahomes INT's resulted in scores.

On both of those INT's Donkeys had to drive 42 yds and 60 yds to score. I am willing to concede at least one of these drives to a TD but they could have stopped or held to a FG on one of them.

I think it's really that just they lost focus on both sides of the ball once they got up big. That shouldn't happen but it did. Had a stretch where the defense went to sleep and Mahomes was making some really poor decisions to put the defense right back on the field. There was a stretch at the end of the 2nd and beginning of the 3rd where we had 3-4 straight drives that were under 2 minutes long.

The first two picks were excellent defensive plays and they cashed both short fields to make it a game. Give them credit.

One of the drives was 60+ yards.

That's probably the stat of the game.

I don't hate running the ball on 3rd and 1 (with a non-fullback).

4t quarter when they had possession down 4. They score 7 I’m not so confident after 3 picks were go down and win.
Interceptions get in QBs head or we fumble etc.

OnTheWarpath15 12-11-2022 07:21 PM

Happy feet and bad decision making from Mahomes, plus terrible situational play calling equals a defense on the field too much.

Crazy that we’re 10-3 with a negative 6 turnover differential.
