The Saints are going to be a shit team with no QB or a rookie QB.

Going there as Dennis Allen's OC would just mean you'll get fired with the rest of that staff in a year or two...

If they replace him with Matt Nagy, no. That = old, stale ideas. And a guy who, by all accounts, was hated by his own locker room.

Allen has two guys to fire. They hired co-offensive coordinators yesterday. :D

It's the nature of fandom.

People wanted Sutton fired after 2017 and he eventually did after 2018.

He still fielded probably the best 3-year stretch of defense the Chiefs had since the early 90's when he had his best players on the field.

AT BEST, assistant coaches are somewhat involved in actual wins and losses. Mostly, they're just there to do detail work that the HC doesn't have time to do. It's delegation.

At the end of the day, you're going to win or lose with the talent on the field. Coaching is icing on the cake.

I don't blame a RB OC to call passing plays an entire half when we were running it with 10 yards a carry up the gut in the first half. I agree coaches call the plays but players have to execute those plays but if a coach refuses to make adjustments to help the players or put them in better position to be successful.

I'm sticking with Andy Reid is the Head Coach and to blame for second half debacle and also Patrick Mahomes for not having his head in the game.

I also give credit to the Bengals as they were better prepared mentally had a better game plan knowing Andy Reid historically living by the passing game.

I remember when we hired Andy in the pressers he talked about passing on first second and third down. If it's third and inches he'd rather call a pass play.

Throwing EB under the bus just looks bad for us fans and makes excuses. Other teams are pointing and laughing at us for blowing a 21-3 lead even though it was 21-10 at half. We didn't capitalize when we had the opportunity to put them away.

Hated him because he wouldn't dumb his offense down for them.

And by all accounts, no one "hated" him. Everything I've read or heard is that he's extremely likable and bright.

No, no, no... my dear, sweet boy. That's not how it works.

If you take two coaches like EB and Nagy who are hated by their lockerrooms (sources say!), it's like using a double negative and you actually get a positive charge out of it.

Nagy = bad
EB = bad

Nagy + EB = good

Pretty simple, actually.

I think it would have been the best for all parties. He could get out underneath Andy's shadow and the Chiefs could get a set fresh eyes\ideas potentially.

EB signs that contract and every bump in the road is another razorblade slash to his coaching nuts. Right or wrong, it's dumb to come back

Am I upset that he’s back? No. I don’t believe Clay and Marty’s bullshit fan fiction.

This.

This, this, this.

Clay and Marty's fan fiction mis-represented this sentiment in their attempt to piggyback off this.

Hey bud.

Not every EB thread needs to be about us.

Do CP a favor and pump the brakes.
