I still play games that require quickness, despite my age and declining skills. There's still fun to be had - Monster Hunter comes to mind. About the only thing I won't do is From games. I'm not in it for that kind of difficulty.

Yeah Skyblivion looks amazing.

Marvel Midnight Suns is fun as hell turn based combat. Super addictive.

Skyrim was great, but had far less depth than oblivion. Starfield was an absolute POS. So, Bethesda has been going backwards. I am not sure why anyone would believe that will change.

Because TES is their baby. They're not gonna **** this up.

Skyrim was the best Bethesda game and it's not particularly close. The only game I like more is Witcher 3.

Skyrim was the better game in many ways, but as far as depth oblivion had greater depths of story and quest etc.

Either way as time has gone on Bethesda is no longer the studio that made Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim.

Hell, they are pumping out TES mobile games.

Lets say this. I said I don't have a lot of hope. I don't. But I do want it to be a kickass game.. like Oblivion+Skyrim cranked up to 144hz OLED goodness. I just think the recent track record shows that they no longer give a shit, so I'm assuming its gonna be doo doo like Starfield, Fallout 76, Redfall etc.

Starfield is much better now than it used to be, especially with the new mods. The bugs are almost completely gone, and those that remain are no more than minor, occasional annoyances that are easily sidestepped. Sure, the main story sucks and the followers are mostly lame, but other aspects of it, especially ship building, make it fun to play. I still enjoy it. I avoid the lame stupid shit as much as I can, and only keep Andreja on the ship.

I heard something about it, I just hope the Oblivion Gates are better than before. They were not that much fun but the rest of the game was amazing.

Downfall started with Fallout 76 which should never have been live service/MMO. Just give me Fallout with drop in/out coop with my friends. Fallout 76 to this day is still a buggy mess centered around cosmetics. Then you get to the entire point of Bethesda games, MODDING which is completely lacking.

They really got tiresome, especially during the endgame.

Skyrim has certainly been crammed down the throats of TES fans over the past decade. They've re released the ****er over 4 consoles.

I've played through Skyrim multiple times since 2011, but I can still rattle off the top of my head more experiences from Oblivion that were memorable than Skyrim.

Unless of course we're talking about the super fun instances of hours of your progress being lost because the game decided to spawn a ****ing dragon just outside Riverwood, killing all of the villagers and ruining the best
place to sell your loot. I probably won't ever forget that bullshit.

I think the main joy I ever got out of Skyrim was that it crushed an annoying co worker I had at the time who was the biggest PS3 ball gargler you could find. Then lo and behold, this 600 dollar shitbox simply could not run the game he was so pumped about correctly. Crushing framerate issues, gameplay issues, dead dragon skeletons spawning and flying around upside down, until the memory leak persisted so long that the game would do nothing but crash on startup.

Caught this little asshole playing Skyrim on one of the demo 360 units. Ah. It was beautiful.

I'd enjoy the story loop more, if I was able to bring at least my main ship with me into the new game. Losing all of my ships that I painstakingly built is just ****ing reeruned.

What I would love to see is a current gen remake of Morrowind. I loved that game and it was my first foray into TES.

Is Bethesda capable of making a game as good as or better than Skyrim? Sure. Will they? That remains to be seen. I do expect it to be very buggy when it comes out though as that is TES standard at this point.
