Define "they" because "they" sound like ****ing reeruns.

I wouldn't touch Jones before the fifth. I just don't see "it". But that said, it's early.

I wouldn't touch Jones ever. I just don't see "it". But that said, nobody should draft that guy. Watch his stupid shovel pass/fumble attempt. It reeks of pure Cassel.

Fixed

I see Barkley as similar to Matt Ryan. Good arm, but not a cannon, can effectively go through progressions and spread the ball around and attack the whole field.

Geno Smith isnt as dynamic as RG3, but there are lots of similarities in their games/skillsets. He has enough speed and instinct to make defenses pay if they try to run too much man coverage and can shred a zone with his arm.

I see Wilson as a lesser version of Rivers...similar arm and game demeanor...opposing teams can get in his head and he is very hot/cold.

Landry Jones is a stronger armed Cassel that needs everything around him to be clicking
to be effective. When Broyles went down, he fell apart. As others mentioned, his game against k St was awful.

Geno Smith should be targeted by us and could flourish with the weapons we have.

I think the Chiefs are a super bowl contender with either of those 3 guys.

I got burned last year when I said Jones would probably fall to the third round.

Haha

I don't pretend to think I know who the most prototypical NFL QB is coming out in next year's draft. I don't get paid millions of dollars to make those decisions. I just wish our front office would take a chance on someone, and hopefully that someone (1st or 2nd round pick please) ended up paying off and made us a contender every year. There's no use or arguing who is or isn't that guy, cause there's no guarantee we're getting one of those two anyway. Still doesn't mean there won't be more than 2 successful QBs that come out of next year's draft class. Just try, and hopefully get it right.

We need to draft a QB in the first round this year and we will have to roll the dice that whomever we pick up is good. There are no sure fire QBs this year like Luck nor a QB who is a tiny step behind him in RGIII. Every QB coming out this year will have question marks. This team needs to just go for it instead of talking themselves out of any of them because of their "weaknesses".

Sometimes, players need a new voice. Well, unless that player is Matt Cassel.

Mmm...QFT

He might be Matt Schaub or Andy Dalton (who should have been a first rounder - the Bengals really scored) but I'm fairly certain the Chiefs could win a Super Bowl with Barkley under center.

IMO, at least in this point in time, he'll be one of those guys slightly under "Elite". I'd be shocked if he becomes a Brees, Manning, Farve, etc. but he's certain good enough to win important games.

Damn.

One of my new greatest regrets in life is that I didn't make the Schaub comparison. Schaub's a very good comp.

You can win with that kind of QB for sure. But I think in Bray you may have the next Stafford, in Smith the next Steve Young and in Murray is see some Eli Manning.

There are some guys with higher ceilings in this draft but I agree that the Chiefs can absolutely be a winner with Barkley and a few improvements in the defense.

Looks like Landry Jones territory.

Well, Walter still has us taking Geno Smith, but now we getting him at No. 10. He looks like he crushed the Saints draft slot and it's not like they need a QB.

Beautiful.

Walter also had us taking RGIII at this point last season, IIRC.

We saw how that worked out.

There will be plenty of scouts that like this kid enough to push him into the top 5, IMO. There's no way we get him at 10.
