Hosmer needs to stop worrying about looking cool at first base and play the gd position. His glove flips, giant sweeping attempts at picking short hops and popping (too) quickly off the bag on throws to first (umpires haven't called him on it yet) are hurting the team.

Say what you will, outside of one or two pitches, Hoch was pitching pretty well tonight.

Hoch will be OK. He won't pitch in Detroit, have the AS Break to rest the ankle. Didn't look serious. Put some ice on it, he should be fine in a couple days.

Of course, I could be wrong and tomorrow they'll say he's going to LA for a Tommy John, which would be perfect Royals luck.

Per the article, the NY Mets would be a good partner for Broxton. I wonder what would it take to get Matt Harvey?
