The US has over 8800 M1A1/M1A2 Abrahams. I wonder where we store all those monsters.

Yeah, you gotta figure that they're souped-up versions of some American tank.

I'm a bit surprised that they don't have any Abrams tanks. Do we not sell those? I figured that if Israel has our F-15s, they'd probably have our top tanks too.

Egypt, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia all use the M1. Australia too, I think.

They're probably not all here. We have military all over the world.

If I was filthy rich I'd buy a tank. I'd have a huge plot of land with just trees and rocks and stuff. Every other weekend (to keep the cost of shells down) I'd go out and and blow stuff up.

That makes it even more surprising. My book confirms that the first three have M1s in hand or on order, though Australia is using Leopards. (The book is based on last year's statistics, though, so Australia could have recently bought some.)
