^^Exactly. You can't tell me that if the Kentucky job or something like that became open that he wouldn't leave in a heartbeat.

You act as though Huggins has made a career out of being a carpetbagger like.... oh... Larry Brown. Or Bill Self. Huggs turned down big jobs and bigger money to stay at Cinci. But I can understand you're 'non concern.' |

How long ago did you live here?? If its been more than 5 years then you need to SHUT THE HELL UP TOO. I am married with a child and allot has changed in JC since I was a young. They are actually trying to clean it up and build new housing. Everything will be different for the big red one this time around. You have an opinion to voice. Saul on the other hand does NOT. I would be surprised if he ever set foot in this town ONCE. . |

I bat pretty well on what I know about things related to KSU. And I'm telling you: a. Huggins will be at KSU for a good long while - 10 years or so. b. Renegades like Huggins don't get job offers like UCLA, Indiana, Kentucky, Duke, etc. c. HCBS could have had just about any job that came open in the mid 90's. He turned down every single one of them. Same for Jack Hartman in the late 70's. Thing is, it's the perfect job for many coaches, and I think Huggins is just beginning to realize why it fits him so well. |

They cleaned up just about ALL the crappy trailer parks and started condemming OLD delapidated houses and trailers that are/were unfit for living. The Dept of Defense was pretty clear to the Chamber of Commerce and the big wheels of JC to get thier act together this time around if they want keep the Big Red One when it get restationed here. The town and the people that run it have responded with allot more industry and over 8000 new living units, houses and apt buildings, and like I mentioned they are building more and more everyday and the longterm goal is for Junction City to DOUBLE in size. I know the School District here is looking to ADD 800 to 1,300 new students by 2008/09 school year. 500 of those by next year alone 06/07 school year. I guess if you could drive by now you would see a WHOLE different town compared to what you saw in 02/03. We got resteraunts opening all over and more on the way in. Jim Clark moved most of his business out on I70. City Cycle Sales moved out on I70 into a state of the art Harley Davidson showroom and maintenance center. I know it don't mean jack shit to you but as a life long resident I resent anyone talking shit without seeing first hand what is going on right now. BTW I see you are from SouthWest Kansas. I went to Dodge City Commuinty College 20+ years ago and I was pretty UNIMPRESSED with the whole area. (Dodge City, Great Bend, Garden City, Syracuse and even Hays) Talk about being in HELL. . |

Unlike you, I'm not experiencing the early signs of dementia due to old age. I can actually remember to wipe my own ass, and to not flush the cat down the toliet. |

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Carry on though. I'm enjoying this. |
It'll be cool to have an in-state rivalry again. :thumb:
