Maybe my hot water heater? Whatever is in that closet. I just took a long hot shower, and I just started noticing it as I was drying off.

That happened to mine once and I hit it real hard with an Ax. The noise stopped but I was stuck with cold showers until I replaced it.

So I should contact my landlord?

ahhh if you have a landlord do not hit it win an ax. But yeah call them because they will have to fix it. It should quit soon its probably just trying to replace the water. If you have my luck when the maintence people get there to fix it you won't be able to make it have the problem and they will tell you it is a fluke. But then sure enough the next time you take a shower it will happen again!
