Buggs and Pennel will shut down Baltimore's running game and we will go to the Super Bowl.
HOW SWEET IT IS! |

2021 Jones was making the transition to end and those two white losers were playing too many snaps on defense. There were a lot of defensive talent issues early that year and Baltimore caught us at the right time. |

What’s wild is that if Andy doesn’t turtle it on the Ravens 35 and CEH doesn’t inexplicably fumble on the last drive we still win that on a walk off field goal.

Our run defense is what keeps us on the field for 7-8 minute drives. |

And no, it's not. That's when the third-down defense fails. The Chiefs run defense SHUT DOWN Miami's running game. It's fine. |
Quote:
2020 was a clowning. 2021, talent issues, not his fault. Spags will put clown shoes on Lamar again. |

Lol, oh come on. that 2019 game BAL scored just 13 points until the 4th quarter. It was literally 30-13 until 12 minutes left in the 4th. Their last 15 points were during garbage time when the game was already essentially over. And at least one of those BAL TDs in the 4th was almost pure luck. let's not conflate their final score into more than actually was. |
Point stands. He didn't shut him down. We'll need playoff Pat
|
Spags seems to do his best work against mobile and athletic QBs.
The concerning part is that Lamar has actually morphed into a respectable pocket passer. |
The last time we played Balt they looked unstoppable, but Spags has had success against him.
We’re going to have to beat buffalo @buff first |

Blow Lamar all you want. We have the horses on defense to shut down their offense.
A LB like Tranquill is Lamar's worst nightmare. |

lol, okay. We'll need playoff Pat because our offense sucks. Doesn't have a thing to do with our defense. Never mind that this defense is worlds beyond the one Spags inherited in 2019. |

I’ve always argued that Lamar is Alex Smith with a 4.4 and a 100 elusiveness.
But usually at some point in January, QB’s have to rely on their arm to deliver a game winning drive in the freezing cold. We saw the outcome of that many times, and Lamar will likely have to prove he can deliver in a way that Alex never did. |
Quote:
Yeah. The Lamar apologists think Greg Roman is Satan, but that guy didn’t tell Lamar to shit his pants versus the Titans. The Ravens lost that game because of Lamar’s arm |
Quote:
Yeah we cover 0 blitzing Lamar's ass |
I like Lamar, seems dumb but a good dude that works hard and has got every drop from his talent. Also, this year...think he's thrown pretty damn well. At least from what I've seen.
But yeah, we'll see in the playoffs when it's 3rd and long. |
Quote:
He could have a bad game of course, any QB can. But if you think he's going to suck in this year's playoffs due to the his past struggles - that's a foolish take in my opinion. |
I remember when Spags was hired, he brought in House to coach linebackers and everyone was excited about it. He developed Bolton and Gay before leaving to LSU. Now that he's Brian Kelly's scapegoat, I wonder if Spags brings him back?
|
Quote:
Eh, perhaps true at times. That said he's between twice as much of an attacking DC as his predecessor ever was and without a doubt much more creative and confusing. Perhaps the happiest to be dead wrong about a Chiefs related move I've been since Kelce... |
Imagine Lamar hearing Iggy Thump and going ham on us....
|
SPAGS IS A BEAST
|
absolutely depantsed mcdaniels again
LMAO |
I've said it before, and I'll say it again...
I ****in' love Spags. |
Pineapple Boy had no chance
|
They hired the right guy
|
Would like to hereby announce my undying allegiance to Steve.
|
If this team wins the SB like the Giants did with Eli you put Spags name on that ****ing ring of honor
|
I LOVE IT.
His pressure packages are completely insane. He's got HUGE BRASS BALLS, and he'll swing 'em. |
Can we please stop bitching about the run defense?
14 carries for 42 yards for Mostert and Achane |
Spags is a great DC. He's 3 rings in.

Spags did a phenomenal job against Miami in both games this season. It’s safe to say he owns McDaniel & Tua.

Remember when many on CP hated this signing... while coming off of BOB FREAKING SUTTON?

Spags is like, my sixth favorite member of the Chiefs organization. He’s a ****ing Chad.

I just love his creativity and aggressiveness and his players really seem to feed off of it, too. |
Good hire imho
|
And I didn't hear anyone bitch about Karlaftis in coverage once tonight.
(He dropped a few times, just so ya know.) :) |
I hope Sneed and Spags end up having a baby together!!!!!
|
Over the entire season we've only given up 129 2nd half points. That's slightly more than a touchdown per game in 2nd half. That's absolutely insane
|
1-12 on 3rd and 264 yards total. Spags made them his bitch tonight.

All they can do is take it one week at a time. They made it through Week 1 with pretty clean football and it was good enough to win. Keep it rolling, hopefully with a very clean game on offense next week. |

And Miami's run defense is DAMN good. They played DAMN good defense against the Bills. Maybe not great, but good enough that they should have easily won that game. We didn't let them bother us a bit. The Bills defense is not that much better than Miami's. Especially up the middle, which is Miami's strength. The Ravens defense still scares me. The only thing in Buffalo that scares me is Josh's legs. |
the vibes are excellent

Most impressive characteristic about our defense is the level they are playing at while being the youngest in the league (stat provided by the broadcast).
Hate to mention it but could Spags be the heir apparent to Andy Reid when big red decides to ride off into the sunset? |
Quote:
It would likely be the best way to maintain continuity. Nagy might leave. But if he stayed on you'd know pretty quick if he was the answer at OC without Reid. |
