Well, agree to disagree.

I find it very hard to believe that Herm isn't a good coach, considering he's been to the playoffs in four different years.

Is he great? Nope. But he's a good coach.

And it's clear that other people feel that he's good as well.

It's clear at this point that you have given up on sanity and are arguing for the sake of coming out as never being wrong.

I mean, were you not happy when Herm was fired?

Micjones 01-12-2010 06:11 PM

I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.
Thank you Mr. GoChiefs.

Good, a little better than average.

19 wins over his last 5 seasons is not good or even average...

Good, possibly GREAT Coach, HORRIBLE Field General.

I'm just giving you shit, Dane (although comparing Thigpen to Randall Cunningham is hilarious).

You deserve props...along with Hamas, etc....for calling most everything that happened this year.

But everyone on here is wrong at some point. And sometimes hilariously so.

LMAO

**** Dane.... I can feel the heat radiating off your helmet all the way in MO....

If all there was to coaching was motivating your team and making them all like you and want to play for you; Herm would have like 14 rings.

Mr. Flopnuts 01-12-2010 06:16 PM

Considering where the Bengals were at before Carson Palmer, I'd say he's a pretty good QB. All signs point to him going to shit, but you never know, guys have turned it around before.

I do think it's safe to say that he's not an HOF'er, and it would also be fair to say that it took both 85 and TJ for him to be a superstar.

Winning half or less than half of the games from the year before for two consecutive years is rough.

Yes and no.

I liked the direction that Herm had pointed the franchise. For the first time in nearly 50 years, the team was to be built through the draft. So that part bummed me out when he fired.

As far as game day is concerned, yes, I'm glad Herm was fired. But in all honesty (and I've said this before), I wish he were allowed to see his vision through in regards to personnel because I think our roster would be far more talented at this point in time.

Dude, you can "call me out" anytime.

Just please, do it in context.

Kinda like Cassel should be allowed more than a year to see what happens? Or why we should stick with Haley for at least two more years? Cause one bad year of results isn't enough to gauge a good coach/player?

You're tempting me to release the Kraken. But if wait until the end of NEXT season and the results are the same if not worse, that is one EPIC Win.

The Kraken shall stay chained.

For now.
