I'd like to see some interceptions against good QB's. That's what this D needs.

Top 5 defense.
“The Chiefs rank second in defensive expected points added, eighth in defensive success rate, and fifth in points allowed, per TruMedia.” |

Ah. Good for him. Knock on wood, but I think we’re probably safe from him getting hired, even if we’re a top 5 defense by the end of the year. I know the Texans still exist as a franchise, but old DCs aren’t quite in vogue these days. And there are already a couple of them like Dan Quinn and Anarumo who are further up the totem pole, I imagine. He’s deserving of a job, and maybe he would have had a second chance if this were 20 years ago, but now it’s going to be tough for him to get one, especially as the years go by. |

If that's the case, then I'd promote Cullen. |

The problem for Wilson is....That's now on film. There might be a backup DT or LB lining up at corner on some of these plays :) |

Punt Downs Punt Punt Punt Downs Spags owning their souls AGAIN |
Steven Spagnuolo is the best DC in the business. Mark it down.
|
Ring of Honor. Just put him in now.
|
Could Spagnuolo replace Reid?
Let's say Andy hangs it up in three years. Do you let a 67-year old Spags take the reigns for a few seasons? Are defensive head coaches just outta style? Need a strong OC presence to keep Mahomes pimp hand strong in tandem. |

Nobody owns Lamar like Steve Spagnuolo.
And our corners will eat their receivers alive. |
Heard Spags has a shot at ACOY or whatever it’s called. Should be a lock, imo.

I’m with Clay. I think we would beat Baltimore if we don’t shoot ourselves in the foot. |

McDuffie will completely ERASE Flowers and Snead will erase OBJ. With Bolton back, I’m also not as concerned with their running attack and I can definitely see Bolton having a whale of a game against them. This secondary is the best we’ve had and the LBers are huge hitters that match up well with Baltimore. |
I think our 4 linebackers and Omenihu's unique blend of speed and strength would be a really tough matchup for their running game, too.
As Boss said...the only thing that concerns me is our tackles holding up in that game, and their corners against our WR. I think it would be a 24-17 type game either way. |
I’d love to play Miami round 1, Browns round 2 and Baltimore round 3

I think he could. I think he’s deserved a shot at HC again for a couple seasons now. And very relieved that he wasn’t poached all this time. But he’s proven over and over that he’s a great coach, and he deserves another shot at HC before he’s done. |

Nah, it's not good. It's good enough most of the time. |

Teams pile up rushing yards against us when A) we are defending the pass or B) they are killing clock. The run defense is generally good enough that teams can't use it to drive the length of the field on us, or score touchdowns. |
Quote:
To me there were a couple games when we were without Bolton we got run on. But absent those games we have held up pretty well against the run. |
