An example they used was Houston, look at the splits they use to try to protect their OT's, that they have them get wider to create a larger pocket to give the QB even extra tenths of a second, you don't see the Chiefs do this at all, their pocket is narrow and condensed.

Like kicking your LG to LT, plugging in a journey man LG and making it to the SB?

Or their 5th round pick RG about to become one of the highest paid OL in history?

Come the **** on. Trey Smith was a day two prospect that fell due to medicals and has regressed year to year.

You can. Just don't be blatantly disingenuous about it and put all the onus on him.

Mecca 02-13-2025 11:30 AM

Trey Smith wasn't a "Find" most people knew who he was medicals made him fall, the Chiefs took a chance and it worked, that isn't taking some raw **** and molding him.

But we don't know that they haven't drafted or developed any of the guys like Allegretti or whoever because they've had the guys they've had.

No need to play anyone.

Well, it's not all his fault. But if we are gonna have the GOAT convo and he's gonna make the cash he does, we can't win without him playing at an elite level.

Like, what in the **** is this bullshit? You're a dentist, right? You can't seriously be stupid enough to not understand that a QBs job is directly affected by the quality of his weapons and protection.

The axe to grind some seem to have towards Mahomes is getting pretty ****ing old. Just because Brady has a small pocket of success where he made chicken salad out of chicken shit doesn't mean it's the standard we should expect Mahomes to operate in in perpetuity.

No QB is winning a SB being pressured 45+%. In SB history Eli Manning is the only QB who has ever won being pressured that much and it was because the Giants also put that much pressure on Tom that game and there had to be a winner.

This was a problem all season long. You don’t need all-pro’s but goddamn dude you can’t have no running game and a history bad OL in the SB.

No QB is winning in that scenario

Mecca 02-13-2025 11:39 AM

So either the Chiefs are gonna expect Mahomes to make turds shine because of money reasons or they are gonna have to play the void year game. which is it?

O.city 02-13-2025 11:43 AM

I'm good with loading up the offense.

But we'll smack the ping pong back and forth and in a year or two it'll be "the defense just can't get stops"

Sassy Squatch 02-13-2025 11:45 AM

Suamataia
Morris
Suamataia
Morris
Thuney
Humphries
Thuney

There's 17 games in a ****ing season and he had a 4 man rotation playing musical chairs all year. Just saying he needed to suck it up is a bit lame IMO.

They still have Chris Jones for a couple more years, Trent, Karlaftis and will likely keep Bolton.

Nobody is saying not to put resources into the defense. They need use this draft for the offense like what the used the 2022 draft for the defense

Baltimore, Buffalo. Philadelphia all paying their QB big money but none are asking their QB to run for their life.
