Secondly, teams that just drafted a QB in the past two years don't need Carson Palmer. That included Detroit, the Jets, Atlanta and Baltimore. The Saints, Cardinals, Cowboys, Houston and Green Bay don't need him, but quite frankly, I'm sure Minnesota would love to have him, especially considering Favre is probably one and done.

If teams who have drafted or acquired a new QB in the last two years wouldn't want him, then why is KC on the list?

Just thought I'd through this tidbit in..

Eric Havlorson (and Indy sports talking head) just Twittered:

(AP) Former Browns coach Romeo Crennel talked to the Giants about their def. coordinator's job but is giving the KC 1st shot at hiring him.

Take it for what its worth.

So pretty much you are blasting Pioli for bringing in low cost waiver wire fodder all year and missing on veterans like Zach Thomas and Amani Toomer who cause us no long term harm whatsoever...and are mad that they didn't find any impact players out of the scrap heap...

We give all the credit to Herm for his players being our best players yet when they were here we said these very players were doomed because they didn't have the coaching staff to coach them up...

But now we see guys like Charles and even Dorsey playing well and it's credit to Herm and no credit to the new coaching staff.

Pioli sucks/Haley sucks...DeCosta rules!

You should just admit that you were wrong then as opposed to saying the same thing knowing full well you're wrong just so you don't lose a silly argument...

What am I wrong about?

The thread was Mortenson stating that Herm was safe in November. I agreed.

Are you stating that Herm wasn't safe in November 2008 and was fired that month?

Because I fully believe that Haley & Pioli would take Palmer over Cassel any day of the week.

If they didn't, well...I have no words.

Titty Meat 01-12-2010 06:04 PM

Were Cassel & Palmers #'s that much different this year?

Oh no, sorry. I was talking about Herm being a good coach in your opinion (I thought I made that clear, but whatever). I'm assuming that's the part you used the whole USC tidbit as the supporting evidence to your claim for.

X's and O's aren't nearly as important. But recruiting is, and USC wouldn't miss a beat with Squirmin' Herman recruiting.

Well, agree to disagree.

I find it very hard to believe that Herm isn't a good coach, considering he's been to the playoffs in four different years.

Is he great? Nope. But he's a good coach.

And it's clear that other people feel that he's good as well.

Furthermore, I picked the Chiefs to be 2-14 in May of 2008.

Regardless of your opinion, I know this team quite well.

I predicted just about everything, from Ty Jackson's struggles to Clark influencing Haley to keep Gailey to Pioli using his scouting reports from New England to free agency spending and so on.

I find it absolutely shocking that so many people continue to question whether I'm right on wrong on a daily basis when I've posted the same things continually in this forum and I'm consistently proven correct.

I'm happy for you Dane. Not sure this changes much though...
I'm sure there were probably two-dozen posters who predicted the 4-12 record.

I'm also not sure how special the prediction about a first-year Defensive Lineman was.

I thought we wanted a franchise QB and a playmaker, not a middle-of the road qb...

I think Herm is a "good" coach. Not great, certainly not HOF.

Good, a little better than average.

I don't know who those other people are, but I'm shocked you consider him to be a good coach.

Good coaches are able to adjust and fix things at halftime. All of his teams regressed.

yeah Palmer hasn't really done shit... certainly hasn't taken that team anywhere unless you fancy first round playoff losses...
