Reuben Frank @RoobCSN As of 3:17 p.m. EST from source: Reid contract has not yet been finalized. Still going over stuff. It's close but not done yet. I'll let you know if I hear anything on our end. |

Only 11 coaches have more playoff wins. Reid is definitely a HOF football coach if he wins a SB here. |

We may finally again be able to listen to and understand our coaches news conferences. No more Boom.

I figured it was a fake tweet...no way would Reid make that comment right now, it wouldn't even make sense.
|
Some chain smoking reporter on 810 right now just squatting all over Reid.....

Hey guys, anyone know when our interview with Ferentz is?

I've realized that if a certain circle of posters on CP are excited about a hire, it's generally a pretty good hire.
Don't listen to the general media. |

Calling Reid one of the greatest coaches in history is pushing it a little bit. He is a good coach, and will be a great one of we win a SB. Nothing has happened yet. Just remember Pioli and how we were going to become a dynasty. |

810 implying Reid should be held in contempt because his son died....just weird
"it seems he is a sympathetic figure...why?" |

The Eaglesification of the Chiefs continues. Vermeil, Herm, and now Reid...

Since the franchise has done nothing but fail recently this gets misconstrued as a a "kiss of death." Bite me. |
I find it deplorable and somewhat vindictive that 810 continues to bring up the notion that Reid is a "bad father" or "ignored his family".
Especially when the two idiots who are bringing it up are on their second marriages. |

This is essentially just like hiring Marty or Vermeil. This team WILL be competitive. The level of competitiveness they reach will be determined by QB selection. |

Contract is imminent!
Chiefs, Andy Reid closing in on deal
By Jason La Canfora | CBS Sports NFL Insider http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/ja...ing-in-on-deal A contract between Andy Reid and the Chiefs is imminent, according to league sources. They worked through an afternoon meeting and have reached a point where staff and other issues have been resolved. Both expect everything to be formalized soon, and wholesale changes will be coming, with an announcement likely Thursday. Reid was scheduled to travel to San Diego to meet with Chargers officials. That meeting has been canceled. |

I'm sad because I've really enjoyed Talking Can just ripping out Cassel and Pioli's innards through their rectums.

Is San Diego going to feel like we did when Manning didn't even look our direction?

Reid isn't a great coach. He's between a good and very good coach. Closer to very good on the spectrum. The thing is, Bill Belichick, Sean Payton, Jim Harbaugh aren't available. I don't see Reid as a bad choice at all. He's a proven winning coach for a team that needs to get back to winning. He has good structure, and should get the franchise headed in the right course if nothing else.

I remember being sky high when we hired Vermiel.
Like I was 100% certain we had a Super Bowl in our future. While 2003 was awesome, the overall shortfall of that experience has me tempering my enthusiasm a bit. I'm thrilled with the hire and am glad Clark appears to have a deep desire to win, but I just can't seem to go "all in" just yet. |
1 year/2 million dollars? What a steal!
