Certainly, I couldn’t imagine a more ideal place to have it happen, medical professionals, defibrillators right there. If this happened in most places, the person wouldn’t have a chance.

Theres no way the game can be expected to continue tonight.

At best it picks up tomorrow night.

Of course. Very sad. If it was a pure cardiac arrest and he was defibrillated quickly enough, that’s the best scenario. Anything brain or spine related is not gonna be good.

Just saw the play. He suffered some type of sudden heart trauma, possibly a tear with internal bleeding. He had some loss of blood flow and that's why he fainted and passed out.

****ing scary.

A lot of pulmonary embolisms going around lately...

Practically speaking, it is probably impossible to delay beyond tomorrow. At least that would give players some time to re-center.

Yeah, I can't see it going on longer than that.

Though depending on how things shake out, tomorrow could be as bad or worse.

But if they go out there and play, then someone else gets hurt (even a fluke injury) we'll hear about how the league didn't care about the possible lack of focus leading to increased injury risk and put these guys out there due to money concerns.

The NFL can't play tonight. There's nothing but downside to it for them. Strictly from a 'protect the shield' angle, the league would be insane to start this game back up.

Hopefully Goodell isn't as big of a prick as Vince McMahon. I remember watching that PPV live and Jim Ross telling everyone Hart had died.

Jerry Lawler looked sick. Such a horrible moment.

That’s where my mind went immediately. Over the Edge 1999 at Kemper.

WW(F) took all sorts of shit for continuing the show. And that’s a scripted event that much more easily could’ve been postponed or canceled.

Its been that long?

It may not be head related.

Could be cardiovascular.

Initially I thought he took a hard blow to the neck. But it could have just been the hit to his chest. Whatever it is this is just awful.

He got up. Grabbed his face mask. Adjusted his helmet after the tackle. Then just dropped.

Prayers..

Christian Erickson in the 2020 Euros. Just suddenly collapsed due to cardiac arrest. Hopeful tale in that he made a full recovery and is still playing in the Premier League.

Yeah, I switched over to an old Law and Order. Between the awkward commentary and endless commercials, I'll just pick it up again when (if?) the game resumes.
