He's not fat anymore and I don't recall any sort of serious speech impediment either. Just FYI.

Agree except for Philly and Chicago.

You're going with 14? Not 20? 14. Ok. He's going to Canton. And I disagree on the 3 you mentioned. So even by your own estimates he's in the bottom half of qbs. Wow. He great.

Even I know its bad when Pioli Zombie and GoChiefs make someone look like an idiot.

So people don't like Cassel because he's not the type of QB that could ever win a QB...

what does that make Carson Palmer?

A 1st round draft pick that gets a pass...

Again, more ****ing bullshit out of context.

On November 9th 2008, Herm's job was NOT in jeopardy.

And for the record, if Herm wasn't a good coach, why is college football's elite school considering him for their head coaching position.

Keep spinning, Dumb****.

And you're certain how?
He had a carousel of WR's from the start of the off-season program until the final whistle blew on Week 17. The first 8 games we had no running game of which to speak. Or might it have been the ever-changing musical chairs style configurations of the offensive line? Or the undertalented collection of players on that side of the ball? Then there's an overburdened Head Coach acting as the offensive playcaller and QB coach.

You'll excuse me if I'm not ready to write him off just yet...

Coaching alone didn't get us to 6-8 wins, as almost everyone else suggested.
I think the overwhelming sentiment here was that 6 wins, even when considering the coaching, was the ceiling for this team. I'm not sure who you're talking about.

Zach Thomas and Amani Toomer provided nothing, as suggested.
I think we know now that the assortment of WR's we had at the beginning was woefully insufficient. So had he been given the opportunity he might've made a Bobby Wade contribution to the team. His age worked against him more than anything else. We didn't have any world beaters at that position.

If you really are foolish enough to pursue this further, I'll be home around 10.
Take your time.
Again, I'm not sure what "insight" you all brought to the table. Everything you just posted was suggested by several different posters around the Planet.

You're a dumb****. First off, that's 15, not 14.

Secondly, teams that just drafted a QB in the past two years don't need Carson Palmer. That included Detroit, the Jets, Atlanta and Baltimore. The Saints, Cardinals, Cowboys, Houston and Green Bay don't need him, but quite frankly, I'm sure Minnesota would love to have him, especially considering Favre is probably one and done.

Are you serious? You did not just say that Herm is a good coach...

You should just admit that you were wrong then as opposed to saying the same thing knowing full well you're wrong just so you don't lose a silly argument...

It's largely true that 1st round picks are the most productive QB's.

And Palmer was productive for a while, in fact he looked like a star. Unfortunately he's turned to shit, and has never really won anything. But he will still be considered a good QB by most because he had some good seasons with good WR's and has a great arm.

Because Herm is a good salesman. And that's what dumb 17-18 year old kids and their parents will respond to best. He talks a big game; and that's about all it really takes at the college level. X's and O's aren't nearly as important. But recruiting is, and USC wouldn't miss a beat with Squirmin' Herman recruiting.
