Looks similar to A Quite Place... I am a sucker for these type of post apocalyptic movies.
Aliens, monkeys, wars, zombies... I don't care. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/SshiwJL3tYU?si=8aA5s_i939BnYCix" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Its damn sure not new but I'm posting here anyway
Not sure what took me so long, but I'm just now 20 minutes into Hot Tub Time Machine from 2010 and I've already busted out laughing 5-6 times |

Hot Tub Time Machine is a low-key masterpiece and callback to those 80s movies with the likes of Cusack.

I saw Hot Tub Time Machine in theaters with a bunch of coworkers. Hilarious movie. Didn’t take itself seriously at all.
It’s not a 10/10 movie but it was a 10/10 experience for us. I was particularly fond of the “Are we raping?!?” line. And getting upset everytime the bellhop didn’t lose his arm lol |
Did you guys see the scene of fleabag that got recreated on the chicken date house show?? OH MY GOD
|
I posted this over in DC because it is probably more fitting over there but hey... nothing obvious here or anything.

Beetlejuice 2 was pretty good, it was short though.

The Substance.
Don't think I've been that horrified and disgusted by a movie on both a visual and psychological level since The Fly. |

Hmm doubt I want to spend money at the theatre to see this, but I'm intrigued. |
The Substance with Demi Moore is an absolutely must see horror film. Not scary at all but it’s a proper “body horror” film and it’s genuinely funny and it’s supposed to be that way. Best movie I saw in theaters this year
I belly laughed harder then most comedies(in a good way) |
Has anybody seen Wicked yet? My family wants to go to it over Thanksgiving

War department and I went and saw it the day after Thanksgiving. The wicked witch was good, the good witch was a self-centered bitch and the Wizard was evil. At least the flying monkeys were still scary. They twisted one of the all time great movies in it's time into "woke" crap.

Alien: Romulus
Deadpool & Wolverine 2 of the best big production movies I've seen consecutively in a bit. Thoroughly enjoyed both |
Just watched Nobody with Saul Goodman. Absolutely LOVED it.

****ing hell. I didn't need to click this thread.
My God man. |
Yikes! Are they both competing for the Scarecrow part in the next movie?
On a side note. I took the four grandkids to see Wicked on Thanksgiving day. They all gave it a 4.4/5 or higher rating. Me? eh, I guess a 4/5 for what it is. Of course I knew it was a musical going in but jeez. They could have cut about a third of the music out and inserted some dialogue and I'd have liked it a lot better. |
I went and saw “The Order” the other night. Cool true crime story about the FBI taking down a white supremacist group in the early eighties. Jude Law was really good in it.
|
Sonic 3 was decent enough. If you like Jim Carrey he's in it a ****ing ton.

I can see why he's done 3 movies as Eggman (so far). They seem to just let him do whatever the **** he wants. Even crazier in this one since he's playing two characters at the same time.
|
Beetlejuice 2 was whatever. Enjoyable enough, I guess. I didn’t really care for the first one so the chances of me being wowed by this one were low.
Monica Bellucci would get it, though. She’s still hot, even like 60 years old and all Corpse Bride’d up. |

Its not exactly new from 2022, but I'm a little over halfway thru The Gray Man with Ryan Gosling
Finally broke down and bent the knee to Netflix for the game tomorrow, and also just to see if its worth it... my first choice was this movie, lol... an actioner sooo over the top it makes 007, John Wick, Rambo, and Vin Diesel look like ham and eggers Great action, its just one gigantic jump the shark battle after another Good grief, bring your suspension of disbelief |

6 of 10 Beautifully made movie, just not exciting nor interesting. Orlok's body looked CGI & out of place in many scenes. Seems to be Eggers thing, to wow everybody via eye candy but forget to entertain. Lot of plot cohesion was lost due to drawn out cinematography for visuals, could've been 40 minutes shorter. This is a gothic/art house romance not horror IMO. |

Meh. Wasn't as good as my expectations. Last Voyage of the Dementor was much better. |
Carry On on Netflix was an enjoyable one-off. Tough to see Jason Bateman as a villain up the main character’s Puerto Rican girlfriend was mega hot.

Red One was actually a pretty good Christmas movie. I liked it the most out of all the movies I have seen recently.

I did a lot of eye rolling on this watch. D+ |
Carry On's biggest fail is how they tried to market it as a "Die Hard Christmas Thriller!" and I can't recall one memorable line from the movie
It'll do if you're fatigued from scrolling and its the first thing their algorithm pops up for you so you're like **** it, but something people are going to watch over and over, not even close |

Looked pretty good to me. May have been the scene where she was being all loving, sweet, and supportive with the main character that really appealed to me. Turns out she’s Colombian, by the way. Quote:

But after a while its just like how much can one man pull off, and how much punishment can he take? I'm not sure even the most hardened and skilled Delta/Seal guy could do everything Hemsworth did |

Still enjoy those movies to this day they're just viewed through a different, nostalgic type lens Quote:
Extraction was solid action and I don't feel like it was a waste of time, it was enjoyable... guess I'm just getting picky in my old age lol |

Watched Conclave tonight.
Pretty interesting Vatican palace intrigue and then they just HAD to woke it up at the end. Gay. |
Carry-On was solid.
That car scene on the way to the airport made me LMAO though. |

Sofia Carson played the girlfriend. Her pics don't seem to do her justice, because yes, she was mega hot in the movie. https://external-content.duckduckgo....d94&ipo=images https://external-content.duckduckgo....e8c&ipo=images https://external-content.duckduckgo....9b6&ipo=images |
Thank you!
She definitely tickled my fancy when I watched but even I’ll admit I wasn’t as impressed when I Googled her afterward. |
Jason Statham has so much range that he plays literally the same guy in every film. And dammit, I'll watch every single one.

Watched Subservience on Netflix last night. Megan Fox... would like to touch the hiney... arooooo. Movie was OK. They actually could have made it the start of the Terminator series the way it ended.
|
Just got back from "A Complete Unknown". It was really good and the wife liked it too. 9/10 for me.
|
Wife and I watched Fall Guy with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blount . Really enjoyed it, totally a cheesy action movie but I don’t care. Perhaps it’s the nostalgia in me as a kid loving the original show and Lee Majors. In the age of remakes I thought it was a really well done effort be sort of captured the vibe of the original
