If I missed this I'm sorry, but apparently ESPN is saying that Heckert's not a lock and that Reid wants to see if John Dorsey has any interest in becoming GM?
Dorsey would make this hire even better. |
when da **** is this deal gonna be done anyway

If he gets looked over for the HC'in spot, I could see him leaving. Not sure if he would go anywhere else as a HC either.

Dorsey has extensive college scouting and Director of College Scouting experience. This is the perfect guy to fill the role of GM, working with Reid. HIRE THIS MAN. |
I have to offer Clark a lot of credit, he went out last time and got the #1 gm prospect, now he gets by far the #1 established HC candidate. Props, I didn't know he would be like this.

"While Reid has a warm relationship with Pioli, sources said it is highly unlikely that he will build his FO with the Chiefs GM on board"

Dorsey for VP of player personnel and Heckert for GM would be amazing.
Just a loaded front office. |

Maybe Horton doesn't want to work with Golf Coach.

Danny Clinkscale (The clinker) states he would rather have had Wisenhunt but Reid is a B+ hire. STill smoking up Danny?

Draftsharks is reporting the following information.
** The Chiefs are on the verge of signing Andy Reid as their next HC. He won't even interview with the Cardinals or Chargers, making KC the first and only team he spoke to. An offensive guru, Reid will take over a squad that ranked 24th in total yards and dead-last in scoring this past year. He's also expected to be in charge of personnel decisions, meaning current GM Scott Pioli will be axed. Reid's first task will be solving the team's QB problem. The Chiefs have the 1st overall pick in this April's draft, although there doesn't seem to be a QB prospect worth taking there. We'll also have to see if he tries to re-sign free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe. Reid at least has a RB that fits his offense in Jamaal Charles, who has a similar skill-set to guys like Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy. While Charles' game-to-game carry count might continue to be frustrating, his role in the passing game should grow under Reid. Thanks, Jared Smola DraftSharks.com |

Over his entire 14 year tenure though, only 3 losing seasons. That's as Marty as you're going to find. It will all come down to who he gets to play QB and who his coordinators are... |

Reid says he prefers Glennon over Smith with the #1 pick but needs more time to evaluate |

I'll tell you one thing I'm sure of...
Andy Reid isn't going to bring Mike Vick with him. Hahahaha. He learned his lesson with that one. They know they HAVE to draft a QB. Hopefully it is Geno at #1. |

Thanks, Scott. We appreciate your complete incompetence that paved the way for greatness. |

Ew. you made this up, didn't you? |

We have an experienced, talented man who has never won a Super Bowl leading a franchise that hasn't won one in forever... The drive behind this operation is going to be incredible. Reid's football legacy is on the line the next 6-7 years. |

Also would like to thank Romeo, Daboll, Cassel, and Quinn. It wouldn't have been possible without you.

Hunt deserves a lot of credit. A lot of people have bashed him for being cheap and not wanting to win but he is certainly disproving that notion. It clearly wasn't his fault we didn't get Peyton last year either (unless you want to argue he should have fired Pioli for Peyton). He may be a little to absentee for most but he is definitely showing he wants to win and will pay for the guy he wants. Hopefully it works out this time.

Doubt that is real without the evaluation even starting, but if it was, I'll take andy reid's opinion on QBs

I'm going to go ahead and call that tweet BS.

Can we not combine these two Reid megathreads?
