Right now six guys are getting big money on this team:

- Mahomes (will be for the next decade)
- Jones (will be for the next 3-4 years)
- Kelce (one more year, max)
- Taylor (one more year most likely)
- Creed (four more years)
- Thuney (one to three more years)

OK, now who on the roster needs paid and you are basically 100% confident will get it right now? To me, the list is:

- McDuffie

Now, who looks on track to get a pay day, most likely will, but maybe won't? It's:

- Bolton (find out soon)
- Karlaftis
- Rice (has to stop being a dumbass, won't get it any sooner than 2026/27)
- Worthy (barring a major turn, appears ripe to be a long term piece, won't get it any sooner than 2027/28)


That's it. And most the guys above who need to or may get paid will be hitting long after some guys from the current list are off of it.

Money is not an issue and should be no barrier to signing a solid LT right now. Laying it out this way, you can see how important this draft class is coming up in April.

Was about to go and look up that same info. For his aggressive reputation Veach really has been relatively responsible with the cap.

They need to get this right now. I’m starting to get very concerned about Patrick. The LT problem has turned him into a game manager who won’t throw the ball deep anymore. He’s been turned into Alex Smith.

We all saw Patrick hold the ball with plenty of time in the pocket when Worthy was going deep 1v1 and Quinyon had his back turned.

Younger Mahomes 100% takes that shot without question. It’s extremely concerning what has happened to this kid.

They have to fix the offense this offseason and it starts with LT. No more games. No more projects.

Biggest silver lining of that shit show Sunday was Mahomes slung some beauties to Worthy. The three big plays, two of them touchdowns, were vintage Mahomes.

That's still very much in there and he knows it even after his worst day.

Now, the players making that money you may not agree with or think they're making too much, but even then the only two debatable ones are Humphrey and Taylor.

In a salary cap league where every time a decent player is due for a new deal they have to try and set the market, we're not supposed to be able to keep our good players and be able to bring in good LT so we can keep winning. That's not the way it's supposed to work. Hopefully Breach can find a way.

100% agree, Mahomes has been turned from a cold blooded killer elite QB to a risk minimization QB, he needs to reinvent himself and return to trusting his instincts. I think the interceptions will decrease for him if he just sees open guy and fires, and doesn't think in the process, versus trying to methodically dink and dunk it down the field. It's like prevent defense, on paper it is meant to stop the big plays but in reality it usually turns in the opposite of the desired effect.

So don't keep the good players. Keep the great ones. Ain't that complicated, just don't know if Veach is willing to let them go. It's going to suck if guys like Bolton and Smith have different jerseys on come September, but that's unfortunately how the Dynasty game is played.

Sewell and Alt were supposed to be a can’t miss LT prospects and even they are currently playing at RT.

Personally, I pay Bolton as long as it's not ridiculous. He's a borderline great player and as NFL offenses continue to shift, his skill set is going to appreciate in value. He's the type of guy you keep if again it's not ridiculous.

Trey Smith, in the other hand, is the poster child for a guy you let walk.

Sign Robinson draft Conerly or eserey and have a competition. It’s that simple. The loser is a swing tackle or a guard.

"Fixing the offense" isn't about stocking it with so much talent.

Pat is a big portion of the issue.

Need to pay our top tier guys, especially the homegrown guys, however we can't 'Dallas Cowboys' ourselves where guys get paid way too much and it handicaps future seasons regarding cap space, it has to be a combo of value/high IQ genius moves

I agree sign Bolton. Hicks can replace Reid. You can draft safety in fourth. Smith no way you sign he was awful down the stretch and not worth it.
