In Windows Media Player click on Tools then Options. Go to the Rip Music tab. Under Rip settings: Format change it to MP3 and then select around 196Kbs burn setting. That should do it for ya.

Of course, if you are meaning to post a song on the Planet. Select the smallest MP3 format you have. 196 will make the file around 4Mb.

I don't have a Tools tab in Media Player.

It lies! In the FAQ, music files are not listed as acceptable file types. However, music extensions are listed when you post a reply.
