Yep. That was an A+ game for Chiefs on Special Teams, compared to a F- game for Houston's Special Teams. Total opposite performances, lol

Who do you roll with?

I feel like using Jaden Hicks in that spot might be advantageous. At least on 3rd-and-6+ when you know they can't just run at a light box and pick it up. He's fast enough and big enough that Allen isn't going to punk him or outrun his angles.

I hope Spags is aggressive early and kinda lets the blitz create opportunities for the four-man rush as the game wears on. Never let Allen be comfortable. Even if it means giving up a big play or two, if you can get a turnover or two and not do that on offense, you probably win.

Not that we don't do this, but that's a lot to ask of a rookie.

"Hey rook, it's 3rd down in the AFC Championship Game. Make sure Josh Allen doesn't run on us."

Most of the time when they do those looks, Reid moves up into the LOS role with Hicks playing deep.

Dunno, but I know that Spags used Leo vs. Lamar in Week 1, and that worked fairly well. If I had to guess, I think Spags may rotate the responsibility at some point, to try and confuse Josh. Let's say, start the game having Leo spying, then at some point in the 2nd half when we really need a big stop, switch to Hicks/Cook?

Why isn't Leo the obvious Spy choice in this situation? He's strong as a bull, he can probably take down Josh whereas most others can't, he's got the speed and the smarts. Is there some deficiency in his game I'm not accounting for?

I mean, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Just saying, Spags likes to use a lot of misdirection, and switching things up at a key moment is right up his alley, so to speak, is it not?

Yeah, and these stats are somewhat misleading when you consider the Chiefs' significant advantage in starting position (due to returns, Texans' turnover on downs, field position game) and the thirty yards the Chiefs willingly gave up at the end to kill the clock.

Yet people here shit on him constantly. Very unfair. Traitors.

It's gonna be a huge ask for anybody, but give me the guy with the physical tools to handle the responsibility.

He doesn't seem afraid of anything.

I've read all but about the last 10 pages or so.

Have we discussed the Bill's used of a 6th O lineman in the run game? I can't remember how we faired against that in the first matchup. What are thoughts on how to counter that?

Maybe a combo of Leo, Hicks, and Reid in different spots.

I'm sorry but I don't trust Tranquil. I don't think he has the tools right now.

I mean I know Allen is a bigger stronger qb than most but he's not derick Henry. Reid can take down tight ends. He can handle Allen. We have plenty of options. Just have to be a tad faster to the edge than bolton.

Wasn't even thinking about this.

The Chiefs ran 46 plays for 235 yards before their final possession.

5.1 yards per play. Not great, but same as Texans.

Also majorly skews rushing.

Chiefs had 18 attempts for 78 yards removing kneel downs at end of first half and end of game, and our punter running straight backwards.

He's maybe 10 pounds lighter than Henry. He's hard to bring down.

I’m not sure on Chenal’s speed compared to Hicks, but I want the guy who can stay in front of Allen and make him double clutch. If he sees someone he knows he can outrun or initially has better angles on, he won’t hesitate to take off. But if he has someone who is step for step with him he is much more likely to dance around or run sideways to buy time for throwing the ball instead of running for a guaranteed first down or big play.

A few notes from the Bills/Ravens game I got from X:

-Bills allowed 9 receptions on 12 targets to TEs for 134 yards and a TD, including the potential game tying 2pt attempt where they left Andrews wide open and resulted in a drop

-Ravens RBs ran for 134 yards and a TD on 22 attempts(6.1 YPA)

-Ravens generated pressure on 11 of Josh Allen’s 22 pass plays

Ravens possessions:

TD
INT
Fumble
FG
FG
TD
Fumble
TD

Bills defense isn’t good. Worst of the remaining teams by far. Don’t turn the ball over and we will win
