We're going to save a lot of money by dumping Smith after the season. We have cheaper qb's on the roster who can do the same job and more.

I think it has a lot more about "we've seen this movie before with Alex Smith" than it is thinking foles is the next big thing. I don't want foles to start. However, I hope Alex Smith is taking notes about what good things happen when you actually give your receivers a shot to make plays.

People can pump up Alex smith's stats all they want. But the realists know this isn't going to do the job in the playoffs.
