Notre Dame is not joining a football conference. They make too much on their own and cannot craft their own schedule to have their toughest games sandwiched around twinkies as they have always done.

it's amazing they went through all that nonsense the first time to save a conference that was still only months from falling apart....


jesus, I hate the Big East...but I don't really see a landing spot that makes good sense for KU....

The big question in all of this is if ku is really tied to KSU, OU is tied to OSU, and TX is tied to Tech or Baylor.

If not, then the Pac-12 would definitely prefer a TX, OU, MU, KU addition. But if TX and OU have to bring little brother along, then that complicates things.

yeah, would be great bball...but the travel seems crazy...more tv exposure though...might actually help KU recruit the east coast...whatever, i've got nothing to do with it

As far as KU/KSU go, I don't think they are "tied" to each other. I'd believe that both schools, and the state, would prefer that they remain in the same conference, but if it comes down to one or the other going to a larger conference without the other - they won't stand in the way.

As far as the Big 12 goes, it was only a matter of time before the conference was no more. It was doomed from the moment the "expansion" talks started.
