You just can't cover everyone. You can't. |

When all you need is 4-5 yards, Hill's stop/start ability makes him damn near impossible to deal with. You can't get hands on him and you're not gonna cut with him. You really can't run man against this team in short yardage because Hill's a man coverage buster in those spots. Those drag routes and hooks or outs that he runs out of smash concepts are just unstoppable. And you can't bracket him on those because there's not enough time for the guy coming from over the top to crash down on him. So all you can do is zone up and hope a backer can flash out and get a hand on the ball. |

Then the 'blitzer' simply tracks Williams on his route, presuming that he's probably going to put a chip in on the RDE to help out Fisher. Williams is a more explosive guy than he's given credit for but he's not Kamara out there. He's not an elite route-runner that's gonna shake a guy in coverage. If you send 4, you can deal with him well enough (provided that your LBer gets through the rubs over the middle, which didn't happen on that wheel route TD against Houston). |

Saleh can try rushing him in the A gap to avoid that, sure. But good luck with that. You’ll leave yourself vulnerable on the edge and this will happen: |

He doesn't have a long top gear but he gets through the first 3 shifts as fast as any passer in the game. He's as capable as any quarterback* in the league of getting around a rusher and getting to the sticks. (*Ed note: I said quarterback. Lamar Jackson doesn't count) |
This thread is slowly winding down...there doesn't seem to be much more to be said. The game is going to come down to PMII's individual brilliance vs. the 49ers' explosive pass rush. If Reid/PMII can figure it out, KC wins. If they can't, KC may they may still win if KC takes away the 49ers running game and JG can't move the 49ers offense. I'm hoping it's going to be a great game. IMO, you have the two best teams in the NFL facing each other, with both at near strength. What more can you ask for in a Superbowl (besides a win for your team)? Good luck fans.

A friend of mine has two SB tickets.
He paid $5000 but forgot he's getting married on Sunday. If you are interested, he is looking for someone to take his place...St. Patrick's Cathedral in KC at 3 PM. The bride's name is Nicole, 5-4, 115 pounds, good cook. She'll be in white. |

Brees has clearly declined, which holds all that talent back. Mahomes’s ability to extend plays and make EVERY throw makes the talent around him perform at a much higher level. When you consider positional value and impacts, the Chiefs are the most talented team in the league. |
The most important matchup coach for KC is Spags. He doesn't need to win or even draw against Shanahan. Just don't get clobbered and Reid will take care of Saleh.
|
Fun fact. With Mahomes being the starting QB the Chiefs have been down double digits 8 times and all 8 times they have came back to either tie or take the lead
|
Quote:
But Brees just can't maintain anymore. He missed half the season and was still gassed by week 17. The stats were still good because he's whip-smart and has a HC that was awfully good at working with what Brees had left in his arm, but there was just no zip on anything he threw. If Bridgewater starts that Vikings game w/ Hill doing the same gadget stuff he was doing, the Saints win that game. The biggest problem NOLA had at the end was Drew Brees. |
Quote:
I do believe all 9 of those double digit deficits led to 30+ points for the Chiefs. Getting the lead in 8 of 9 is pretty impressive. They won 5 of the 9, which is 55%. The average NFL win percentage after trailing by double digits? 14% |

Pretty sure it was Damien Williams that had one of the fumbles. |

The 2nd ranked defense shutting down the 1st ranked offense is basically par for the course in Superbowls. |

It'll be interesting because the 49ers gave up the least amount of yards in the air of any team since 2009. |

Ya know I just thought of this (no idea why it took me so long), but really when the trolls show up every week we really should just agree with every reeruned thing they say. All they do is spew nonsense and then double down on it. And if we try to respond with reason they just come back with th yet more nonsense.
Besides it would be that much sweeter when our “26th ranked run defense” stones their “1st ranked run game.” |

Hell, he wouldn't even standout in our RB rotation and it's full of UDFA's. It's not debatable that Thomas and his 150 catches and 1700 yards is better than Hill. Like you said, the Saints don't have a great WR2-3 or TE next to him, so he's doubled all game, and he still crushed the league... even with Bridgewater at QB. I like Hill, but let's be real. |
Quote:
They're not going to stop and reason doesn't work so we might as well just tell them we'll accept our ass whooping and move on. |

And Thomas is no doubt the best receiver this season but he’s not the game-breaking weapon that Hill is. |

Your red zone defense is worse than ours and when Mahomes is healthy we score TDs 70 percent of the time. 90 percent in the playoffs ROFL
|

And how does one choose a handle like “all22 “ and all then constantly use the least discerning stats Imaginable.
|
Shut the **** up about "ranked" defenses. KC gave up fewer points against a tougher schedule. We have the advantage at QB and defense and that edge wins more than 90 percent of the time. Points win games, not "yards".
|
Wow didn’t even think of that. The 49ers and Vikings are almost the same type of team in every way. 49ers are like a better version of them.
Btw we dropped 26 on the Vikings defense with a back up QB who was coaching high school 6 months ago. |
|
The discussion was about Saints vs Vikings, and whether or not using Bridgewater and Taysom Hill to run gadget plays is the best way to beat them.
Y'all have the attention span of goldfish. Yes, we know you beat the Vikings. Congrats. Now come back to the topic of discussion, morons. |

All I know is GOAT defensive coach Belichick is scared enough of Tyreek to double team him all the time. Hill’s role for KC is primarily a decoy to setup stuff for everyone else. He’s extremely valuable from that standpoint.

Kamara is a monster. He's better than Damien Williams. He has the edge. I didn't say it's close. He's better than. I didn't discuss degrees of edge. But take slight with it if you will. You claimed "Tyreek Hill is “not close” as a weapon" to Michael Thomas. That's what I said was debatable - that he "isn't close" to Michael Thomas. Hill is a legit #1 who has to be bracketed at all times by any defense. He's a unique weapon and absolutely is "close" to one of the best WR weapons in football. |
You are talking about a fan base that claims Deebo ****ing Samuel to be Hill's equal
|
Kamara is awesome. He also didn’t go over 100 yards in a game this season.
Total TDs this year. Kamara - 6 Williams - 7 |
