Yes he plays his character well, but so could any 2nd year wrestling heel. Honestly take Rhea Ripley away from Dom and he would be like any other mid card guy. Actually the Judgment Day would be more interesting if Priest and Ripley kicked out both Dom and Finn Balor and find someone who completes the heel group better. |

Also the Bucks wouldn't last in WWE long with their backstage politics. |
Dom's problem is, he's not his dad. Rey Mysterio is frankly one of the best workers of all time and holding anyone to that is a bit much...shit when Mysterio was 17 he was a top 5 worker in North America...Dom will never be Rey and that's the issue.

That seems like all the more reason he'd hop to WWE for a stint. MJF is certainly talented enough to make the jump but he's not getting much more than straight to DVD shit from Warner Bros Discovery he'll need to prove himself on a bigger stage, unless he somehow steals the show as one of the secondary Von Erichs and makes an immaculate impression during the making of that movie.

Huh? Like, literally the first year and a half he's been on TV he's been involved directly in programs with his dad. Why would they give him a different name?
|
Quote:
|
Why would they want to do that? He got a ton of experience being thrown into the fire like that and is currently one of the hottest heels in wrestling and has been for months.
|
Quote:

Nah. He has go away heat at first, but now it's legit heat.
|
Should have changed his name to Dominik Guerrero.

I've never understood the Term "Go away heat"
If youre getting heat you're getting heat. He's getting massive reactions and has been for a while. The only true "go away heat" imo is if the crowd is just apathetic. |

There's a difference in someone wanting to see you lose and someone turning the channel. |
Quote:
But how can you really quantify that? If someone is getting boos they are getting boos. And we don't have the minute by minute ratings to see if they turning away. If no-one gives a shit they should respond by not giving a shit. Either no response or chanting unrelated shit. Booing would give the complete opposite result of what they want. |
If you're a face and getting booed you're teetering on the edge of go away heat
|
This is basically a study of Xpac, that dude had go away heat for years.
|
XPac was special.
Between the old worn out gimmick, the lack of effort he gave, the terrible storylines and the product placement shit he would do. Only thing I've seen close to it was John Cena at the ECW pape and earlier era Roman Reigns. |
Meh, every single top superstar barring Stone Cold had some form of go away heat at one point in time. It's the byproduct of being so overexposed

Dominik as the scummy and cringe pretend hardass is heel and comedic gold. Judgement Day is best when it sorta leans into the edgelord cringe.

Complete BS man, Jesus. This ruined or extremely limited his career. I love watching this dude perform. I never really saw much of him until recently. CP we've discussed wrestling much, but I'm getting back into it - so please understand there are numerous voids in my WWE knowledge but I'm getting back up on it. But yeah RVD would be one of my favorites that I'm 'just know' learning of and seeing.
That match w/ Edge and Cena in 2006 though! But the below is just tragic and I'm genuinely shocked the cop would book him on that, seems so petty (even for 2006.) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Zgxy493QArw" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
LMAO Holy shit. Matt Riddle is just MMA RVD.

He's only doing MMA now? |
No, he's like RVD but instead of the high flying style he's MMA based.
|
The best part is RVD telling the cop dudes name is Sabu.

Mecca you like Finn Bálor?

are you all watching MNR?

No way. I usually just catch a couple of clips from the internet when the need to catch some wrasslin strikes my fancy. Both companies have MAJOR warts that make watching an entire show almost impossible
|
I really hope WBD doesn't push AEW for a third hour of Dynamite if this writers strike doesn't resolve soon and they need the content to fill slots.
|
I think it would be ok with the occasional special, or give RoH some TV time.

Rey Mysterio really hurt? Looked like he banged his head pretty good

Rey took a big hit on his head.

Take him away from Ripley and he wouldn't be as hot as you believe he is. |

Valets and Managers don't really compare to the point you are trying to make....you actually make more sense with the Stable argument....making the comparison of DX. But even in that group...making Dom the equal of XPac would make my point. When DX broke up...Hunter and Shawn Michael still had heat on their own. Even Road Dogg and Billy Gun could get heat. XPac not so much. |
Except it's blatantly obvious who's drawing the heat and ratings. And it isn't Balor or Priest
|
The Elite all signed multi-year contract extensions with AEW.
|
I bet you all got pumped for RVD on AEW.
|
Pumped over what?

CM Punk finally got himself ran out of AEW.

Who could have ever seen this coming?

Not even sure why they let Punk back into AEW to begin with.

LMAO Jesus, he apparently lunged at Khan to try and fight him.
|
Quote:
Tony Khan totally ****ed that up. Punk should have been on a Brock schedule until his deal was over. |
We know why it happened. CM Punk doesn't have a father.
|
You don’t see a near 50 year old woman take bumps like this too often

Oh damn, Khan Pretty much came out and said as such on Collision

Wonder when CM Punk shows up in WWE. Thinking it's only a matter of time, especially with Endeavor owning it now. They're on pretty good terms with him and the folks in WWE that probably aren't (HHH) will be moved far enough down the ladder it won't really matter.
|
Quote:
|
That's too bad. Already confirmed he wanted back in even before this latest spat got him fired, and the folks making the decision like him enough to overrule. Especially considering he did prove himself as a legitimate ratings draw on Dynamite.
|
I think HHH would do what's best for business but 99% chance Punk prices himself out of any possibility.
