I don't think Horton is going to stay in AZ if he doesn't get the head job.

I also don't think with the coaches available, and the amount of jobs, that he gets a head job.

Only by the Pioli-smokers.

It's about football speed. Wylie doesn't show his speed on tape, Austin does.

I can see people not wanting to use the pick on him because of our other needs, but Austin's going to be a very dangerous player in this league, IMO. Ultimately I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the Pats take him.

No, because his "friends and cronies" happen to be pretty damn qualified, all things considered. We could end up with a very solid coaching staff top-to-bottom as a result of this hiring, assuming it doesn't fall through.

Cassel is set to make 7.5M. We are about to pick a #1 QB, who WILL start. If Reid is thinking about keeping Cassel as a backup at that price I'm calling AZ and asking them wtf their problem is.

He's been in the league for 4 years and is still only 24 years old. If you make a move for Maclin and re-sign Bowe, you have your WR corps locked down for the next 3-5 years and you have a pretty damn good one at that.

Giants fans said that about TC. You never know what a change of scenery will do. He was there a long time. Odds were that he or the roster would burn out. Not to mention they tried building a super team and it failed. As for Childress, not sure how his issue as HC in MIN affects his ability as an OC/QB coach.

He's not going to be here at all.

He was brought along to see if the new coach would mesh with him. Clark wanted to see if it fit before just hiring someone and see if it fit later on. He wants 2013 to begin immediately.

It was the smart thing to do. Pioli had to discuss the entire roster with Reid.

He's basically made it as uncomfortable on Pioli as he could.

I haven't been this excited about the Chiefs since we signed Bobby Sippio.

So I take it it didn't fit very well?

I would think he'd be worth a 2nd, but the Chiefs 2nd is way too valuable.

They may just want to ride with him. Remember, they have a new QB and coach coming in as well. While they may not be able to re-sign him, they still need to have some weapons for Foles (or whoever) and the incoming HC.

They may just get their year out of him, let him walk and take a 4th rounder as a comp pick. Isn't it worth keeping him for the extra year if all it costs you is a round or so in the draft pick?
