BYU,Notre Dame,Arkansas,Boise State etc

Heck even Colorado State would be better than another Texas school imo.
Boise St is headed to the WAC.

New Mexico sounds weird, but it's a growing state with big-time basketball already on board (which shows the AD can commit to sports).

Keeps the "geographical continuity." Adds TV sets (BYU and New Mexico) and some national fanbase (BYU).

I also could see them sticking with just BYU.
I agree as well, not to mention New Mexico adds another state to the BCS wagon in congress. Basically I see those 3 schools put into the South Division with OU and OSU being moved to the North.

Why is it again that ND wants to join a conference? Because they see the coming of the mega-conferences and feel they have to align with one of them?

The annual "is this the year ND joins a conference" talk huh?

I thought Willie was a Hawk? In which case it would not be funny. Though if he is B10 why he should give a crap if ND goes B12 I don't know, unless he wants them for B10.

Notre Dame joining the Big 12 would probably be the most shocking thing to happen in sports in the last 10 years. There's just no way. It'd be like the Yankees moving to the NL Central. They already make a bazillion dollars a year off football, have a following from coast to coast, every game is nationally televised, and they could probably join any conference they want. Why on earth would they agree to become a slave to Texas...
