Nobody's eager to make sure he doesn't leave the building without the offer he's asking for. Which typically means he's asking for too much.

Key has never seen a substantial payday. He's going to want to get his bag (and I don't blame him).

If we sign him I'm betting most people won't like the terms. I guess we'll see.

He’s a situational pass rusher that hasn’t been a starter since his rookie year and has 9.5 career sacks in 4 years…6.5 of them coming last year and from the inside on stunts beating guards…which brings value. His run defense grades aren’t good, even though he’s had really good coaching. Now, he’s going from team to team trying to get his firm payday.

Trying to be realistic, it seems like a guy that very well could get overpaid and underproduce.

I sure hope I’m wrong.

Genuine question but what do you prefer about him to Ingram? Feels like Ingram is more rounded if a little less impactful as a rusher but much more soild against the run - knows the scheme, probably cheaper. But older i guess.

I'd be cool with him coming back. Only as a backup rotational guy though.

Only playing 9 games last year is concerning, quad and back injuries. With that said if the money is right we can give him the Sammy and CEH treatment. If he starts to get banged up just wrap him in bubble paper and save him for when it really matters. He'd earn every penny in the Playoffs.

Defense needs to get younger more athletic. You can't tell me that's not what Veach hasn't done with it thus far this off season.

Key would take Reed's spot in obvious passing situations. What a disappointment Reed was.

You still need a veteran, as there are no young starting caliber guys available.

Those would be 3 home runs and I’m sure Veach could make noise with the other 9 picks this year.
