This was year 2 of 5 for Breaston.

McCluster and Wylie should fight it out for one roster spot in 2013. |
I think Breaston will be fine under Reid.
still think we need more speed at WR though |

Breaston's contract gets out of control after year 2.
Don't think he sticks. |
So is it still not official yet?

40 times be damned, Tavon Austin is as fast in pads as anyone I've seen this season. He'd be an absolutely perfect deep threat alongside Bowe. Bailey doesn't really impress me, to be honest. He looks like a Robert Woods type. Nothing about him jumps off the page to me. |
Reid still is not a Chief. Just sayin'
|
Just think, next year at this time we will be looking forward to a playoff game. It's really hard to wrap your mind around that concept but I think I can get used to it. I know that KC has the best BBQ in the country but I hope there are some places that make good cheese steaks too because Andy will become comatose if he has to live without his cheese steaks. On the serious side I really like this move and give Clark credit for reviving the fan base.

So basically if he's here in 2013.....he's at $5 million? That includes his base salary plus his reporting and workout bonus.

Anyway, best way to solve this whole speed thing, IMO, is send a 2 or 3 rounder to the Eagles for Maclin. |

Ron Rivera likely is staying in Carolina. Plus, the Chiefs want to get a staff in place immediately to start evaluating the roster and draft picks.
He's not giving the current staff any chance to interview for any spots. Reid is tearing it all down and building it from scratch. |

Also I think the unfriendly employees at LCs are equal opportunity unfriendly to everyone lol |

I think I'd keep him for 2013 and 2014. If you can get 65 catches and 800 yards out of him for about $4 million/season, you're in pretty decent shape. Then again, I don't think he'd get that much on the open market, so there's something to be said for not wanting to 'overpay' based on what the market will bear. Then again, maybe he's finished. Hard to say. |

I'd rather have Bailey, I didn't know he was pushing 200. |

Hope you guys are as excited for Reid to draft DeAndre Hopkins/Tavon Austin as I am.

Reports have Andy Reid to Kansas City all but done. Awesome. Don't know how this turns out, but AFC West so much more interesting these days |

2013: $3.8 million + 200K workout bonus = $4 million 2014: $3 million + 200K workout bonus + 1 mil roster bonus = $4.2 million. That's reasonable, but again, with the likelihood that the market would only give him about half that, I could see him getting cut. |

They did say that if Ray Horton gets passed over for Arizona, that Reid has interest in bringing him here. |

I would think that if Horton got passed over in AZ.....that he'd find a HC job somewhere. Who ****ing knows though....

Sorry, I'm not ever going to be for drafting another 5'9 170lb receiver in the 2nd when there's the likelihood of a #2 CB being available. |

Todd will be hired in ZOna and not let Horton come to KC.
Poetic Justice. |
Quote:
Coaches out there are Reid, Kelly, Gruden, McCoy, O'Brien, Marrone, Lovie Smith, Arians among others. It's very possible Horton gets left out. |

That said, we thought the same thing when Pioli was hired four years ago... |

If a good solid Flowers type prospect is there in the 2nd, then the Chiefs have a tough choice. If there isn't and tavon is still there, you go with Tavon. |
Rappaport and Breer still not backing off the reports of Reid interviewing in Arizona and SD.

Indeed, Andy Reid has canceled other trips and is hashing out final details with KC, I'm told by a source involved in talks. Expand |

There's a lot of stupid in this thread. |
It'd be awesome to see SD lose out on Arians.

Andy Reid's people have begun the process of canceling planned talks with #Chargers/#Cardinals. Getting close with #Chiefs, I'm told. About time Ian |

All reports say he's already put together an entire staff, and informed them he was making a decision this week. So Horton is extremely unlikely. |
Woot!!!
