It’s not a penalty to tackle a player by his hair. I remember a Chiefs player tackling Polomalu by his hair after a turnover and not being a penalty.

Johnson got a 15 yard penalty for that, not because of the hair tackle, but for not letting go of the hair right away. Those were the dark days of KC football. Herm Edwards............uhhh. It really makes you appreciate what we have today.

You know, I really can't tell you what I'd do because it hasn't happened. We're tied at 1-1 against each other when it mattered in the AFC Championship. We've won two rings during the time period he's been in the league and he's missed 2 seasons. I guess those things are similar?

A better idea would be shutting the f*** up on a Chiefs forum? You can blow Burrow's 3rd place dong on your own forum.

mr. tegu 06-21-2024 09:17 AM

The Bengals are getting a last place schedule and are still going to miss the playoffs. But they’ll probably get lucky and get another Burrow injured excuse.

kcgreene 06-21-2024 09:25 AM

@rfaulk:

I am curious for your take on this as our resident Bengals fan.

If Burrow continued getting injured year to year, roughly half a season every other year, is there a point where you would want to bail and try to find someone consistently available? Because honestly, I feel like his injuries linger around when they happen and he's not as productive. I'm just curious if there's a line where you're "done" so to speak.

December 12th, 2021 at around 2:30pm. That's the closest i've come to being "done". Four + decades worth of fandom and i was sick and tired of the same ole 'build em up to let em down'. Threw a tirade in my car as i ran back to work at halftime to get something i forgot and then wondered why i cared so much and got so angry. From that point i've been much less emotionally involved and enjoyed the relative good times without flipping out at the failures. If it happens it happens. If not, whatev. I could never become a fan of another team though.

The injuries to key Bengals players are just par for the course over the last 47 years of being a fan.

What has Joe really accomplished since entering the league? No MVPs, season injury rate of 50%, one SB appearance that his defense carried him to (on top of a total Chiefs second half meltdown), despite having a top 5 set of weapons. He’s never had to make chicken salad out of chicken shit, and I’m not convinced he’ll be able to. It’s wild honestly, there’s just nobody in the league that’s on the same level as Mahomes. And I’d almost bet Burrow never makes it back to a SB. Sorry rfaulk.

Mahomes got his brain scrambled early in the 2nd half of that game and no one can convince me otherwise. Only reason Cincy won was because Pat turned into Palko for a half

Joe will be 28 this year. And nothing to show for it. Well except for a lot of $$$$, but you know on the field stuff is the focus. Pat had 2 SBs, 2 MVPS and 2 SBMVPS by the time he turned 28

Looking like he peaked it college and that's ok. A lot of folks do.

That's a high bar, homeskizzle.

Let's see. Since he's been here...

1. Won home playoff games. Something fans hadn't seen in 31 years.
2. Won road playoff games. Something fans had never seen before.
3. Played in a SB. Something fans hadn't seen in 33 years.
4. Played in consecutive AFCCGs. Something fans had never seen before.

He's done a lot for this franchise since being drafted. The injuries are a concern but those chapters won't be written for seasons to come.

Besides Mahomes, what other QB has equalled what Burrow has in the last 4 seasons? There's only 1 SB winner each year. There's only 1 MVP each year, etc etc.

You can't talk shit about another team's QB unless your own wins at least half of his division games.... Little Joe is currently at 7-11 against the AFCN, or roughly 38.9%.

Justin Herbert has a higher divisional winning percentage than Burrow and he plays Mahomes twice a year.

Hell, Kenny Pickett was 5-3 against the AFCN, shit. How is Joe losing more in the AFC North than Kenny Pickett was?

Sofa King 07-11-2024 02:39 PM

No one cares. We're beyond caring what twitter people say. They talk, we win championships. Rinse and repeat.

There isn't a GM in the league, including Duke Tobin, who would select Burrow over Mahomes as their starting QB.
