Yeah - if the Panthers could've pulled their heads from their asses long enough to make the no-brainer pick and take Stroud, that would've been great.

But no, there are still teams that fall victim to "He's a winner" when some dude goes out there throwing for a bunch of yards with the sliders set to Rookie mode.

Scout traits, assholes. What did Bryce Young show from a traits standpoint to EVER suggest he'd be a better quarterback than Stroud?

But no, Carolina is run by morons. So about 80% of the teams in the AFC have good young passers while the NFC is still being run by Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy.

That pick is squarely on their owner.

Man - every time, and I mean every time - I heard Nick Saban talk I am just impressed as hell by that guy.

And I don't know if it's just his general countenance, but when he says this stuff, it doesn't sound like your typical coach speak bullshit.

It sounds sincere. It sounds, for lack of a better word, wise. Have Josh McDaniels say the same thing and it's going to sound fake as can be. But when it's Saban it just sounds profound.

The more I hear from him, the more I understand the success he's had.

Yuck. Those people were everywhere in corporate America. So it was difficult for leadership and people not in the know to have any idea if they knew what they were talking about.

I remember reading before the draft that Tepper liked how Bryce Young acted at rich people parties and that's the best example of billionaire brain I've heard in a long time.

This kid dresses up nicely and knows how to act around important people. Sounds like my kind of QB even though he's the size of Tyrion Lannister and Stroud just had one of the best pro days in the history of them.

One story from last year was that Tepper was impressed that Bryce Young ordered scallops when they took him out to dinner.

Meanwhile the best QB in the league eats ketchup on steak. It's OBVIOUSLY a legitimate indicator of success in the league. I live near Charlotte and by all accounts the guys is a douchebag that surrounds himself with "yes" men.

Young looks like a living bobblehead on the field.

Paul Alexander judges the intelligence of offensive lineman by where they tapped a bottle to get the ketchup out.

In Magic Johnsons first meeting with the Lakers pre-draft, the Lakers owner at the time (Jack Kent Cooke) was said to have brought in some ungodly expensive fish - Magic turned up his nose at it and asked for a cheeseburger.

Worked out okay for the Lakers.

Bryce Young. There’s another guy I’m rooting for.

Why, does he have a big booty too?

Watching Hard Knocks, and acknowledging that they're going to keep it positive, but it looks like there's a good vibe around him and they're having fun as a team

Eberflus is a wildcard and Waldron is a run heavy OC so not super sure if he's the right fit for Williams, but like I said upstream, its going to come down to how he handles failure and adjusts to the league

Mahomes had zero hype before the league took notice, and had to make adjustments, Williams has all the hype so he's going to welcomed to the league more quickly

The talent is there, and around him at the skill positions though. I'm looking forward to tuning into some Bears games this season

And I agree that Saban is a stop whatever the **** you're doing and listen up when he speaks kind of guy at every level

Better off just cutting your losses now.

Hah.

Young is like 5’10” 180 lbs. He’s an Everyman! He’s far closer to someone like you or I than Mahomes is. I think that’s pretty cool.
