There are pieces of that that are pretty easy to show/prove. I doubt they’d make that strong of a statement unless they can show/prove the requests she leave and her attempts to extort him.

It would be nice if this girl was dumb enough to text him something about ruining his career.

You dont put your hands on a woman...ever...EVER! With that said, what kind of whore cheats on a guy and then runs to the police when the guy freaks the F out? Just garbage!

If that is true, the lady should be arrested for trespassing and assault.

Worthy was arrested for strangulation. Can you be arrested for that simply from a claim or does there have to be explicit evidence of him doing that?

Bc if there’s no evidence this will be a case of “he said/she said”

In a sane world, you'd think there'd have to be physical evidence of said strangulation event.

However....

Nope. Apparently you can’t trust the lawyer. Only the cheating girlfriend. At least that’s what some here say.

Yuck. So he probably did get physical with her even if it was self defense. May exonerate him criminally but still facing a suspension by the league.

Yeah, while this looks "defensible" if they prove he laid hands on her in the manner that's being charged - he's going to miss some time.

PHOG 03-08-2025 12:28 PM

Settle out of court after charges are dropped. (maybe?) Dumb ass.

He should have just walked out and called the police and let them handle it.

That really ****ing sucks for him and the Chiefs, unless he's just blatantly lying to cover his own ass.

Womble 03-08-2025 12:30 PM

Guys I think we are overreacting a tad here. With my own eyes I've seen TheGuardian at the George Brett karate kick a man's head clean off his torso. Afterwards he ripped off the cadaver's arms and used them as a back, sack and crackscratcher. He never saw jail time.

Xavier will be fine, just a lil slap on the wrist

kcpasco 03-08-2025 12:35 PM

Apparently you need a good amount of family drama to play WR in the NFL.

100% agree. But this is a lot better than just plain old choking her. That could be straight up jail time nevermind the NFL punishment. If this story holds, he likely doesn't go to jail but is suspended a few games. He's still stupid as **** for that though. Just take pictures of what she did, call the police and lock yourself in a room or go outside until they come.

Hoover 03-08-2025 12:40 PM

I'm not defending his actions, but these are emotionally charged situations. All this talk of being calm, and walking away, and calling the cops is easy in hindsight.

Shit I have moments with my kid that I instantly wish I could take back. All I'm saying is its easier said than done.

suzzer99 03-08-2025 12:46 PM

If you ever had a woman freak out and attack you, biting and clawing, it's not fun. I was able to get on top of her and use my 140lb weight advantage (which Xavier wouldn't have) to hold her down until she calmed down. She still damn near launched me across the room with a leg press.

Yup. My brother was in a similar situation with a girl he was planning to propose to and found out she was cheating.

He’s always been a calm man but in that moment he turned into an emotional broken wreck and punched several holes in the wall and wanted to ruin that bitches life in any non-physical way possible.

The best way to get revenge on cheaters is to let the entire world know so they have to face the embarrassment, which is likely why Xavier’s lawyers explicitly stated infidelity.

I don't really find resisting the urge to strangle somebody "easier said than done". In fact at no time has it ever entered my mind to do in my entire life no matter how angry I was. It's been really, REALLY easy to not do.

JohnnyHammersticks 03-08-2025 12:51 PM

As a former Detective and Supreme Court Justice, I'm going to examine the facts before I render a decision on Xavier's case.

The first thing I'm going to need is more video of Worthy's mom bending over in her short jean shorts.

Nothing worse than being stuck with someone on a trip from hell where you can't escape.

It's like being trapped in the canoe on a float trip. If there's any stress in the relationship, that will end it.

Worthy not only has the evidence from a PI of this woman cheating as leverage, but also documented evidence of her attacking him, destroying his property and refusing to leave?

Unless there is explicit evidence of Worthy harming this woman, this might go away with any potential charges dropped or settled.
