Judkins is still my guy, but I’m thinking he’s going to be picked closer to pick 31 than 63.
I am now putting all my eggs in the Devin Neal basket. Was a little off of him after the combine, but after seeing his combine performance being identical to Kamara’s I’m back on being convinced he’s the best bang for your buck guy |
Also love the Brashard Smith option slightly later in the draft, and I really like Hunter. Picked him for the Panthers in the CP mock.
|
This guy is probably the most Andy Reid RB in this entire draft. He feels very Chiefsy. Matt Miller has this guy as a 2nd day pick.

Outstanding hands, 2nd best 10 split, 5th best 40, lateral agile toy, YAC. Yeah. This guy is the best of the RB’s for this scheme it seems |

nobody is trading FOR Pacheco. Stop the madness!
|
Run has gone through every back in the class at this point LMAO
3 on this page alone LMAO Etienne is a good one though. Could be a great value on day 3. |

I’ve got some I don’t really like all that much. Bayshul Tuten for example is a guy I just don’t care for that much and prefer many other similar type of backs before him. But even I wouldn’t be mad if we drafted him in the 6th rd or later bc of the value. |
I tried looking up some vids on Etienne's pass blocking but could only find a single video talking about it, but the timeline is before the start of the last college season. FWIW, the guys talking weren't high on that part of his game.

6th round? Exactly what is the knock for you? No way in hell he goes that late btw |
Quote:
Won’t knock him much for pass protection bc most of these backs need to work on that. I think guys like Brashard Smith, Jaydon Blue, Trevor Etienne, RJ Harvey, DJ Giddens and Dylan Sampson can play his role better but that’s just my view. |
So you haven't seen him play. That's understandable. There's a lot of guys I haven't seen. DJ Giddens is a guy I'm sour on. Good runner but the word is he's not great in pass pro and I'm seen some horrendous drops on tape. But he's a Kansas guy so I'm sure you've seen more games than I have (I think I watched one game of theirs last year).
I'm a VT fan and watched every game of Tutens at North Carolina A&T. To me he's what we hoped CEH would be. He's probably not a three down back but still a one cut guy with elite explosion. I wouldn't be surprised if he burst out like Chase Brown did for the Bengals last season |
If TreVeyon Henderson drops past the 1st round I'm willing to bet naked pics of billee that Veach pulls some trade magic with the 1st round pick and goes after him in the 2nd.

Oh yea baby

Might as well post some FAP material:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Miami RB Damien Martinez is pretty fun <a href="https://t.co/QYclM1Anuh">pic.twitter.com/QYclM1Anuh</a></p>— Daniel Harms (@InHarmsWay19) <a href="https://twitter.com/InHarmsWay19/status/1856048378079260789?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 11, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> That lateral agility at his size is pretty insane. |

RJ Harvey is absolutely atrocious in blitz pickup/pass block, so that might limit his 3rd down appeal for Reid. I like him a lot, overall. I like Etienne and Sampson the most in this group. I just hope Sampson doesn't end up with constant nagging hammies, and I hope Etienne isn't as volume-limited as he was in college if one of them ends up in KC. Brashard Smith still looks more WR than RB to me but maybe he'll continue to develop. |

Size, strength, 2nd to Jeanty is yards after contract, contact balance, pass protection potential (was reportedly excellent there at the Sr Bowl), elusive and is a good receiver. I don’t follow Miami football so I was surprised that they lined him up at WR often. He’s got really insane lateral agility for a guy that big as you noted. There’s a shit load of RB’s in this class and very few of them can do everything day 1. This kid is one of the few who can. |
Final thoughts and rankings on RB’s. These are ranked in order. Ideally we get 2. A 3 down well rounded back to start and a really good elusive back with speed that can be a change of pace and do screens/line up at WR some and do kickoff returns now that they are being forced to return them.
*Ashton Jeanty excluded for obvious reasons The best TreVeyon Henderson 2nd rd Omarion Hampton Quinshon Judkins Rd 3 Brashard Smith DJ Giddens Damien Martinez Trevor Etienne Rd 4 RJ Harvey Devin Neal Dylan Sampson Jaydon Blue Rd 5 Cam Skattebo Bayshul Tuten LeQuint Allen Jarquez Hunter Late rd 6 and 7 Ollie Gordon Marcus Yarns Jacory Croskey-Merritt Micah Bernard Highlighted are my favorite fits for us. Those are my top 3 and I love what they bring to this team. Brashard Smith is my 2nd favorite option after TreVeyon Henderson. His start/stop explosion is special and reminds me of Tyreek Hill’s, he’s got good long speed, good vision and is an excellent receiving threat since he was a former WR. He’s everything we hoped Clyde would be. Favorite late rd option is Ollie Gordon. Massive steal if he’s taken after the 5th. Was a top 100 pick last year if not for his program getting worse and literally asking him to carry the entire ****ing program on his back this year. 3 down back who lead CFB in rushing and was 2nd in rushing TD’s in 2023. Anyway. Tear it down fellas! |

Just picture one of Treyveon Henderson, Trevor Etienne, Bhayshul Tuten, or RJ Harvey lined up next to Mahomes in shotgun with Worthy and Rice out wide, Kelce on the line, and Hollywood in the slot.

Veach came out and said we will be taking a RB in the draft lol.... so everyone pick your fave.
Rounds 3-5 most likely. |
Man I’ve spent all day thinking today was the draft. ****! Been sneaking in mocks between work emails.
Where’s every one at on Kaleb Johnson? |
I think Veach will go for a RB at pick 95 or 133, barring some kind of trade. Martinez might be the best choice in that area. Based on the mock drafts I've done (for what little that's worth), he's nearly always available at 95, but only available at 133 maybe 1/3 of the time. Getting him at 133 would be great, but if they really want him they may have to take him at 95 (or trade up from 133).

That's my late round RB idea. Jarquez Hunter. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">How good might Auburn RB Jarquez Hunter be in the NFL?<br><br>🔸 32% avoided tackle rate (RB5)<br>🔹 4.10 yards after contact per rush (RB9)<br>🔸 22.6% of runs went for 10+ yards (RB2)<br><br>(2024 data - out of 25 RB prospects) <a href="https://t.co/vwNYvMUgjm">pic.twitter.com/vwNYvMUgjm</a></p>— Jacob Gibbs (@jagibbs_23) <a href="https://twitter.com/jagibbs_23/status/1913009635289604481?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 17, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |

Don't think he's fast enough, I don't think his YAC skills translate to the NFL, and there are a lot of guys who fit what KC does better. |
Have to say, been really intrigued by this guy lately:

He is THE perfect fit, I know the class is deep…there are levels to this and none of them fit our offense and what we need better. I’m not even convinced he’ll make 31 at this point but if he did, I’m good there esp. if the board falls the way I think it will. He’s exactly the type of player Veach swings for too, I can see it. |

Kid has electric highlights other than his KY Jelly hands. I don’t know his fumble numbers but the ball is moving around a lot in his best film.
Love the athleticism but let’s get on the Kareem Hunt ball handling plan. |
You'd probably have KY hands too if you was talking to Kay Adams
