I think Chao was the Chargers' team doctor which either makes him the most experienced doctor in the world in dealing with sports injuries, or the worst doctor in the world at preventing them

If Mahomes/Reid are able to gain some new chemistry & trust with other receivers while Travis is out, Kelce becomes a really nice luxury to add to this team later in the season. Similar to how Toney was injured last year, but made a couple of massively important plays in the Super Bowl. |
With Julie Frymyer, the Chiefs have the best trainer in the NFL. Look at how fast she got Mahomes ankle healed up to play.
|
Depending on severity he could play with a brace
|
Me, staring at the MRI having never seen one before
Hmmmmm uh huh, uh huh *touches both pointer fingers to upper lip* i see. We'll be fine. |

I say rest him. If KC loses to Detroit it won't be due to a lack of scoring points.

So the Chiefs "believe" the ACL is intact? I didn't think inflammation hurts MRI images?
|
What a weirdly worded update lol.
|
If they're gonna test tomorrow to see about Thursday, I'd say we got best case scenario here fellas.
My worries paid off. |

It is believed that Kelce's head is also intact on his body. We'll know more before game time.

They believe his ACL is intact? That isn't the most reassuring wording
|
It could be extremely good wording. If it's intact that means nothing was torn, and a strain is a partial tear.
|
It is objectively true that Travis Kelce still has two legs
|
Schefter is just making his tweet more dramatic because Rapoport beat him to it.
|
I'm glad they didn't amputate. I don't think he would've been ready to go on Thursday
|
Believe it’s intact will test tomorrow so he can maybe play. If you think he can maybe play it’s more intact.
|
Good news. I’d be inclined to not risk it Thursday. Kris Wilson or Sean McGrath or whatever could go for 90 and a TD vs Detroit. WBF.
|
The only thing wrong with Noah Gray is that he plays on a team with Travis Kelce.
No, he's not a one to one replacement, nobody is, but we'll be fine. |

My aunt just saw Trav at Drug Emporium buying some Salonpas, people need to relax
|
This is exactly the game he should rest.
Let them test life without Kelce when it's early in the year against a non-conf opponent in a packed stadium. Will get nearly 2 weeks to rest, too. |
|
Hes playing, just got off the phone with Burt Teach
|
Best case scenario for me personally is Kelce rests, Chiefs win, and I win my fantasy matchup because the other guy took Kelce in the first. I think we can all agree this would be great
|
Might if even avoid a a sprain / Grade 1 tear . Seems like good news so far see how quickly it settles

Kelce is getting older.
I fear these type of things will become more common as time goes on. Hall of fame talent but father time is undefeated. |

Guess we'll get the WR's some action.

Enjoy the 10 day rest and see you in JAX, TK. |

You should fear the constant beatings he takes will have a cumulative effect and close your shit franchise’s opportunity to finally win a Super Bowl. |

LADIES AND GENTS!!..here is an interesting fact for you.
In 2019 the Chiefs lost Tyreek for four and a half games. Then we lost Mahomes for two and a half games. We then went on to win the superbowl. We've been here before ya'll. :thumb: |
Was it because of a hit or because he planted oddly?

Myopic Bills fans believe they drafted a TE that's already HOF bound. Some are probably drooling at this news

My draft is tomorrow. Hes a safe bet then? No amputation at this time?

If it's not that ligament then he needs to get TO's hyperbaric sleeping chamber install pronto.

I haven't looked through the 309 or so comments on the thread as thoroughly as I should have. Don't want to be a conspiracy theorist but... We don't actually need Kelce for this first game. You probably need Jones but I get that we're in no rush to sign him. With the longer season and a non-divisional/conference game to start - Andy/Bert view this game is free money. Hell, with the elongated season, they are willing to accept getitng blown out in the season opener in order to further evaluate, negotiate and strategize. They can treat it like a preseason game
Kelce maybe tweaked his knee or actually damaged it. No problem, give us another week to evaluate and strategize. Same with Jones. Andy will find a way to win or learn from it. Nobody is going perfect this season. |

Hopefully nothing but a ding. Our TE depth is pretty damn good. Just tough to see it when you have the best in the business catching the rock.

Maybe Justyn Ross can have some of those routes?!?

We'll be alright. Noah is enough.

Saw the line dropped to 5. If this thing goes to 3 I’m pounding that.
