I am so ****ing glad I opened this thread. Discussion in here is top notch.

With those long arms and the way he plays-Jones kind of reminds me of this guy.

He said he has it. But I just didn't see it. |

interesting that he rushed as an edge rusher standing up at times. If worst case scenario happens (Ford or Tamba put on IR or Houston falls through) we could line this kid up as an OLB on obvious passing 3rd downs.
7.44 3 cone and I think a 1.6 10 yard time. Would rather do that then have Frank ****ing Zombo rushing the QB when we need results. |

LOL. Good luck running the ball anywhere. Better yet just good luck blocking anybody. |

Will his presence cause the return to CP of Big Dick Jones?

Zombo is a damn good backup. He's done really well for us as an injury replacement, especially late in games. The oakland game comes to mind.

^^^ PFF has been on Chris Jones dick more than the rubber pellets from the combine turf in Indy. Which is a lot.

I told the kid face to face that I thought he would be the DROTY at camp. It's too bad he didn't get to start and get a lot of snaps early in the year, or he might have been.
Even over Bosa. |
Quote:
Not a ****ing chance. If Bosa had started from day one he potentially leads the league in sacks. |
Yeah Bosa had 10.5 sacks. Dude is going to be a stud for a long time

2 sacks
8 QB hits 32 pressures Not bad for a rookie who only started like 10 games |
2 straight weeks Chris has been balling out oh his mind. IMO, if Chris PWNS mother****ers KC wins.

Jones has been a ****in animal these past couple games. Itd be really nice if all of a sudden something just "clicked" and now he gets it, and can now start dominating. Chiefs DL needs it. Was scared for a sec when he went down w/ inj, but he seemed to have walked it off, thank god.
Derrick Johnson, one of my alltime favorite Chiefs, has lost his step....BIG TIME. Right about now marks 1yr since he inj his achilles IIRC, but I think the inj and age is just too much. Not saying he's not effective, and he in no way has reached Hali status yet, but he was getting burnt all night w/ backside help on underneath routes. Gates really burned his ass on that TD. But, he's a leader and there isn't anyone playing better outside maybe Ragland...which was a nice pickup btw. |

Gunslingiest and Judge Reid both say they’ve heard a Jones contract is close. https://twitter.com/judge_reid/statu...205091328?s=21
I know some don’t buy their stuff, but some do. Take it for what you will. |
Hopefully, some of Frank Clark's nasty attitude on defense rubs off on Jones this year.

This is exactly the kind of game Chris need to be in straight beast mode to earn the kind of money he wants.
His knock is undisciplined run defense and his strength is interior pass rush. If he can be dominant against Minnesota’s run game and terrorize Cousins...Pay the man. |
Need a monster day outta Sacksquatch, he's well rested so its time to get after it...

Jones playin some ball. Kudos to Spags for some of the adjustments hes made on the fly with this new D. No question this D is playing better than this time last year.

Need to sign Jones to a 4 year deal so him and Clark can keep clowning around and killing opposing teams

I have no idea why the cap will go down, but it’s going to **** us when it comes to Jones.
|
Quote:
The most likely scenario is that the NFL will "pay itself back" once the new TV contracts have been finalized. The NFL Salary Cap may not rise much in the next two years (some are calling it a "Flat Cap") but there's no way the NFL is decreasing the cap because it would lead to complete and utter chaos, which isn't a good look when you're hoping to sign the largest sports broadcasting deal in world history. |

The NFL will make more than enough money to cover. |
Quote:
But the overwhelming majority won't be. They'll figure something out. It seems a flat cap is the likely scenario so I wonder if we won't see a Mahomes deal tied to % cap somehow. It's been a rumored approach for awhile and this may be the perfect introduction to it - provided it's allowed under the CBA. |

You know who'd really like to see it? Miami. Young, cost-controlled QB with some ascending talent and a clear path to the division (Tua developing into a top 12ish guy). If the NFL dropped it's cap by 20%, Miami could still stay under it pretty easily and there will be some big-time talent that would hit the market. The Colts might be similarly intrigued even though they don't have a long-term option at QB. There are some teams that would benefit a great deal, but not enough to carry the vote, IMO. |
Quote:
It was also rumored that he would have an opt-out after every year. That also did not happen. |
