Wild Turkey is some baaaaaaaaaaaaad stuff.

I have to be very careful with it if I want to avoid black outs and hangovers. It's quality stuff though. For 25 Bucks a fifth anyways. I like makers better but Turkey was on sale. I'm a sucker for saving money I guess.

I drink predominantly Makers these days, but Turkey used to be just about the whiskey I drank. it is still my fall back when things go to shit. When I've had a ****ed up day I instictively reach for the 101. It will always have a special place in my heart.

It's odd that we enjoy two bourbons that are opposites of each other. Makers is a smoother wheated bourbon where as Turkey is an in your face more traditional man's bourbon. Maybe it is just a mood thing?

I may have said this before, but I may actually be related to the family. Same last name and I have been able to trace the family back just far enough to see we had s presence in Kentucky. Also one day Makers had a part on FB talking about being related to Jesse James. I know that my family has a relation to him through marriage.

Any way if it is true I'm not going to all for a cut, I just want a bottle on my birthday and another on Christmas. I'm not greedy.

I've had that same thought before. They're very different. It does come down to mood for me as well. Tough days equal 101. Makers is more celebratory. Although sometimes a great deal is just a great deal because I enjoy them both.
