KU gonna go 5-7 this year. Well, probably 4-8. But I'm going to say 5-7.

Aaron Garza reversed on his verbal commitment to Texas. He had offers from Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, Okie Lite, Ole Miss, and Colorado State. Looks like he's choosing KU.

Looks like we pulled in a transfer WR at the last second. Kid's from Maryland.
Link Maryland transfer King lands at Kansas Jon Kirby Talk about it in Memorial Stadium Slant Suite The wide receiver position just got better at Kansas with the addition of Maryland transfer Nigel King. About two weeks ago King announced he was leaving the Terrapins program. <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="Left" width="221"><tbody><tr><td width="215">https://ct.yimg.com/mr/uploads/897/1570449.jpg</td><td rowspan="3" width="6">https://ct.yimg.com/mr/images/spacer1.gif</td></tr><tr><td height="3">https://ct.yimg.com/mr/images/spacer1.gif</td></tr><tr><td align="center">King will have two years of eligibility at Kansas</td></tr></tbody></table>He didn't have much time to find his next home and listened to his former high school coach Otis Yelverton. A big part of landing in Lawrence is new wide receivers coach Eric Kiesau. "He and Eric Kiesau have a very good relationship," King said. "I didn't have a lot of time and everything happened so fast. I found out about Kansas through my former coach and he recommended them to me. I trust what he told me." King graduated from Maryland over the summer and was given his release in late last week. The recruiting process is different with transfers so the Jayhawks didn't have a chance to do a lot of selling. "They only got one phone call and I also talked to coach Weis during the call," King said. "When we talked it helped out a lot about questions I had." Over the last two seasons King played in all 24 games for Maryland. He was third on the team in receptions last year with 33 for 450 yards. He also led Maryland in touchdown catches. His best performance was 76 yards receiving against Clemson. King was a member of the Rivals250 coming out of Oak Ridge Academy. He had offers from LSU, South Carolina, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Louisville, and West Virginia. King will report with the team today and is expected to go through drills on Friday. He is ready for his next challenge at the college level. He will be eligible to play for the next two years at Kansas. "Winning and playing," King said. "Those are my main two goals. I want to put in the time and hopefully help the team get some wins." |
oh Hell yeah

Why did people hate the track so much? Did anyone really go to games under Fat Man when tailgating was good, crowds were full, we were pretty good (and damn good at home) ........and think: "You know I'd be having way more fun if that track wasn't there." Who the hell even noticed it then?

I congratulate you on your new multi green carpeted Harley track. Perhaps some windmills on that prairie in the North end zone will be next? |

Next thing you know, KU will build a huge fence with barcaloungers in the South end zone to block the "beautiful view of that sidewalked, slightly upwardly angled mound covered with sidewalks".

I just realized that Hamm Asphalt apparently salvaged your goalposts too. Was that negotiated? I can dig through "The New castle" and scrounge some up, Krylon them in any color of green to match the green in the carpet outlet area.

On another note, there is a thread over at Phog about Harbaugh and how it was pretty much a done deal until Lew screwed the pooch. :cuss: There are articles about it at the time and I guess Harbaugh has said in interviews that was true. :banghead: |
Had he come to KU, it would have been short lived
When the NFL teams came a callin. |

There was no need to hire Harbaugh because we already had our own Snyder, who was already COY and a BCS winner and who had gone to bowls in 4/6 prior years and was 5-0, #13 in the country when the ugly fool AD started his idiotic witch hunt.
On a side note, it's funny that Ogre was grandstanding about "ethics" while, as it was later discovered, he was running the dept like a total crook and personally taking kickbacks. |
Gotta love the phog. To this day still believing the Harbaugh story.

During realignment we heard all sorts of rumors and speculation, 99% of which were patently false. "Harbaugh was coming to KU". "Larry Scott and the PAC12 plane was on its way to Lawrence". "K-State was the anchor that kept KU from leaving the Big XII to go to...". "KSU/KU had an agreement to join the Big East". Norte Dame this... Norte Dame that... And on and on. I mean it could be true. But I'm much more of a skeptic than you possibly. And As time moves away from the actual events, the tales grow longer and people tend to take a little artistic license with the stories. |

Apparently Cozart, Pierson, Harwell, former tight end Charles Brooks and Christian Garrett beat Joel Embiid, Jamari Traylor, Naadir Tharpe, Frank Mason and some fifth in a basketball game last summer.

This is kind of troubling to me, Zeke. I've seen two people get banned from KU threads because certain groups of people cannot mentally handle a little ribbing on a message board. (Prison Bitch for being negative towards Bill Self and Rusty for posting about ISU BBALL or FBALL in a KU thread). To those folks I say "too ****ing bad". I read Bambi's posts about KSU's new castle and chuckle. Cause it does looks like a castle kinda. Prison Bitch is one of the funniest posters on this site IMO. And he's as statistically sound on issues as anybody. Rusty is just a guy talking about how he really wants ISU football and basketball to succeed. So he does it in KU threads? BFD. I know it doesn't compare to saying "ISBOOOOOOOOOO" a bazillion times or "+1" and "spot on" and " warm up the tractor" over and over. I mean, scintillating stuff as that can be, you sometimes have to take vinegar with the oil. Long story short Zeke. I love ya man. But it's okay to have a little fun. |

I feel for KSU fans, they're on the precipice of their football program goin back to the dark ages (hence the castle construction) when Old Balls retires or dies. Inevitable as the sun setting in the west. Like the sun setting on the greatest turnaround evah
