PFR is not perfect, but they list his position each year as either "T" or "OL", not "LT".

Noticed something real interesting about mahomes’ contract. He has very high guarantees the next 3 years. But he has low base salary virtually unguaranteed the next 3 years.

I feel like every year we’re give Mahomes the option to guarantee a back year of his contract. For example you could move $20m to 2028 and guarantee that he’ll get paid about $50m when he’s 33. And then repeat the same thought the next 2 years. Clever way to build in some flexibility.

That being the case you’ve got tons of flexibility with mahomes’ contract since his back years are so light.

And by all accounts he was MUCH better at LT than RT.

So the aggregate stats aren't as good because he struggled in his brief stints at RT.

I don't know that he has a high floor because of how different SFs offense is than ours.

We don't know how he can do the vertical sets we utilize. If he struggles with that transition his floor is possibly the bench or LG.
