We need to completely revamp the offense. Not necessarily the players but the system. We just look like we have no plan wayyy too ****ing often.

Gosh, I hope not. He wasn't nearly as effective as in years past. I don't blame him because he's taken physical beatings out on the field for years. It's time for him to retire. And if he doesn't retire he is not doing the Chiefs any favors.

“The Chiefs offense is no longer the big play/explosive offense it was earlier in Mahomes’ career” narrative needs to be vanquished.

Mahomes is 29 years old… why shouldn’t the offense be as explosive as it was earlier in his career?

That needs to be the central focus for fixing the offense this offseason.

Coaching, offensive line, more explosive RB’s… whatever it takes.

The problem with the oline was mostly just not having an LT. Trying to patch it hurt the run game and made the offense one dimensional exacerbated by getting down multiple scores early because of the weakness from gambling on fixing the LT. This game is different if Thuneys in the position he's a Hall of Famer at

It’s like people missed the Bills loss when it was clear as day that Kareem, Kelce, Hopkins and Juju got zero explosion and our LT got his ass kicked.

I could not disagree more. He is plenty effective. We cannot expect him to be a primary piece who carries the team on his back. As a complementary piece he is still very good.

Get some goddamn blocking so we don’t have to keep chipping. Get rice back. Get a running game going again. There are plenty of ways for kelce to be a big factor

Interesting, the Chiefs has spent a lot of money on their OL and it looked bad at every position tonight. Yet the Eagles are able to build a dominant OL that gave Hurts time. So, it's scouting and coaching?

So frustrating to watch a team rush 4 and get instant pressure. I was expecting the Chiefs to chip with a TE to slow the rush however it never happened.

Never even tried to run when it was clear the OL was struggling in pass blocking.

The Chiefs really over-achieved this year, as difficult as it will be to watch, I believe they really need a couple of down years to get some better picks and get the underachieving players off the roster.

{shrug}

Burn the tapes.

I really don't even know what to take from this game. We'd have lost to Buffalo by 17 with that effort.

One team came ready to play and the other didn't. There's nothing that those 4 quarters can teach us that we didn't already know from the 19 games that preceded it.

The Chiefs didn't come ready at all.

I mean even presuming for the sake of argument that the O-line was the major problem, it didn't look like THAT against Houston.

They simply came out with their hair on fire. They put effort and out-executed us from start to finish.

Play a D- game and you'll lose to a good team playing its A game. I really don't know that there's anything else to take from that performance.

It happens sometimes I guess. You'd just prefer it not happen when the entire world is watching.

Only player that might be back from that group is Kelce. We have good skill players if we can upgrade at RB. Just need to upgrade the line and we need to overhaul the scheme and how we run the offense.

We can't have another year of squeaking by teams and people lying to themselves that the offense is dogging it on purpose.

He gets part of the blame. He played poorly there's no question. If we're handing out blame here though we should hand it out to the coaches and the o-line. Both did a poor job tonight and it made Patrick's job nearly impossible.

Our offense hasn’t looked good all season, and if I’m being honest because of the lack of critical thinking here, I’ve resorted to not posting about it. We’ve won the last 2 years, secured #1 bye… if I say something negative I’m just some negative bitch.

If you are the GM, fixing the OL is something that you can try and do.

I don't know what you do to fix the QB? [Send him off to a dark cave with mind altering drugs?]. Outside of things like fixing the OL and trying to keep enough talent around him on offense.

BWillie 02-10-2025 12:06 AM

Anyway to rescind Creed Humphreys contract and use it on an LT

Worthy was open all night. At least 3-4 time more open than the one they connected on. Rice has already proved he can give you 100 yards a game.

Bring back Brown on a one year deal. draft a WR with one of your 2nd round picks.

We dont need to pay $30 million to a "go to guy". We need a LT so he can throw to ones we already have.

Still susceptible. Can’t happen.

And I’d let Trey go in favor of fixing LT without blinking. The LT issue specifically ****s him up.

Blind side is critical. They lost Mitch Schwartz (First Team All-Pro at Right Tackle) and still scored 38 points on a very good Buffalo team. When Eric Fisher went down at the Left Tackle spot at the very end of the Buffalo game, the offense was completely screwed for the Super Bowl against Tampa.

This year they had 4 different guys playing Left Tackle. They've had 5 different guys at Left Tackle the last 2 years. And 6 different guys at Left Tackle the last 3 seasons. It's pretty amazing so much instability at Left Tackle has led to 2 championships and 3 conference titles in recent years. Overachieved in this situation. Every other contending team each year has a really good Left Tackle situation.

The worst thing about the LT situation this year is that it killed your Left Guard situation too, by moving Thuney to LT and replacing him with a backup in the LG spot. So now the entire blind side was vulnerable as hell. Somehow they made it through 2 Playoff wins like that, lol
