This is just a sad situation. Kid was cooking

Sassy Squatch 09-29-2024 06:01 PM

Damn. Probably aren't going to see him until the middle of the 2025 season.

Chris Meck 09-29-2024 06:02 PM

Oh. Oh ****.

Why Not? 09-29-2024 06:03 PM

Not sure I’ve ever seen it be anything else when initial reports “fear it’s an ACL injury”. He’s done for the year.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">It is feared <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/chiefs?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#chiefs</a> WR Rashee Rice has potentially suffered a season ending ACL tear per source. An MRI tomorrow will provide more information, but the Chiefs are preparing for the worst. Brutal blow to a player that was off to an outstanding sophomore season.</p>&mdash; James Palmer (@JamesPalmerTV) <a href="https://twitter.com/JamesPalmerTV/status/1840540197940785228?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 29, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I thought this fear was pretty obvious given the way he was led off the field and the way Reid - who notoriously never gives up more than is necessary - addressed it at the half in those sideline interviews.

It’s a huge loss and really alters the trajectory of the season.

UChieffyBugger 09-29-2024 06:06 PM

Reports were saying Jordan Love could have an ACL too and he missed a bullet. Hopefully Rashee can have similar luck but I'm not betting on it.

Yeah because in most cases the trainers can feel it snapped and the MRI is just to confirm and diagnose the severity.

DanBecky 09-29-2024 06:08 PM

I’d rather be 1-3 than lose Rashee. The injury bug is gonna be hard to overcome this year. We’re gonna see what these guys are made of.

TLO 09-29-2024 06:08 PM

Next man up.
I guess.

The juju signing appears fortuitous. Hope he’s got some stem cells pumping into his old bones.
