Howdy Chief Kingdom. As a Browns fan, still trying to process euphoria from last night.

I think any rational Browns fan realizes the season will most likely end next Sunday, but regardless of what happens, this season has been a win. I wouldn't be surprised to see them cover the 10 points however. Chiefs should see a good dose of Chunt, and with return of multiple pro-bowlers and starters/coaches from COVID list, should be respectable.

I was introduced to the Chiefs as a kid, watching Deberg and Okaye beat the Browns like a dirty carpet in early 90's. The 02 Dwayne Rudd helmet toss game still lives on in Browns lore, also was the last year we made it to the playoffs.

Glad we can meet up in the playoffs finally- look forward to Sunday.

Odds are the Chiefs will prevail easily, but if they don't, I'll be joining the Browns bandwagon. We know how great it is to end the playoff drought around here.

"Watching DeBerg and Okoye beat the Browns like a dirty carpet"

I like the cut of your jib, good luck in the playoffs... NEXT year :)

The next week KC went to New England and lost to Hoodie. We were playing with house money. Nobody expected KC to win. They played a decent game but lost. I think Cleveland is at that same spot in their journey now. They finally got the Steelers and the Playoff monkey off their back. Now they're playing with house money coming into KC. Chiefs are the more talented and playoff experienced team. Browns will most likely play well but come up short at Arrowhead. Predict KC-Buffalo for AFC Championship game. A chance for KC to get even for the Bills knocking Joe Montana out in 1993. I'm all about revenge from past nightmares. This would be sweet.

Pretty much this. There is also a sigh of relief for fans that we don't have to keep looking for a FQB and coach for the foreseeable future. The light went on midway through the year for Baker which coincided with some of the offensive explosion games.

Get the experience this year, and spend the entire draft/FA on defense and see where next year goes.

Welcome. Can barely imagine how much fun last night's game was for you. Gotta love Roethlisberger giving Browns fans the satisfaction of seeing him literally cry on the sidelines.

10.5 point spread is stupid.

If I were gambling on football I’d take the browns to cover.

Stick around. Talk ball. Don’t troll.

It's a blessing and a curse. The browns probably have their version of Alex Smith. Not good enough to take you all the way but seems good enough to give the team some consistent stability. He doesn't look to me like an FQB but he seems like the stopgap Cleveland needs.

Being a Chiefs and Royals fan, it's easy for me to like Cleveland's teams and fans and wish them well and success, except when they are playing KC. One of my favorite sportswriters, Joe Posnanski, is a big Cleveland Browns fan. The Indians long-time announcer, Tom Hamilton, is one of my favorite radio broadcasters and would always amaze me how well he knew the Royals and how fairminded he was about them in calling Royals-Indians games. I just now learned that his son Nick has been a Royals scout.
In addition to the two hilarious hastily-made Cleveland tourist videos, there seems to be a lot to like about Cleveland. My friends who grew up rooting for Cleveland teams are fun to be around. They know the pain that being a sports fan can cause, that's for sure. I can definitely relate to a 20+ year NFL Playoff Victory drought, given that the Chiefs have two of them in our history! I'm glad Cleveland ended that drought yesterday.

Considering the conveyor belt of QB suck that's rolled through Cleveland over the years, I'm sure Baker looks like the second coming to them.

Yup. It's a familiar feeling for us.

Meh.. if it was early season Baker I would agree with you. His play recently has actually been really good. The guy has been in three different systems since being drafted, and think this offense is finally clicking with him.

Another year with the same coach in the same system will do wonders. Would be disappointing if he turned out to be more of a Alex Smith type QB.

I think that's a LITTLE unfair. He's not Mahomes, but he still has plenty of potential. He at least throws the ball down field from time to time.

LOL. You all aren't bad over here.

Personally, I much rather have the Chiefs be the AFC leaders than the Patriots/Steelers/Ravens. We also share a strong hatred of Elway and Broncos with you guys. :toast:

I feel like Browns and Bills fans are cut from the same football cloth, so pretty cool to see both in the AFC Divisional round. Hope this is the future of the playoff landscape.
