It's funny when some ****ing reerun thinks a guy is a first-round pick because he runs real fast.

The kid was a 5th or 6th round hope and prayer before that because he doesn't have the production and was a ****ing moron in college.

I have. hard time drafting a 5'9" dude, but I do like this kid, and oddly, I think safety might be a good spot considering who might be available and how Spags uses DBs.

Cesar Ruiz or DeAndre Swift. But, I think we trade back and still take Swift in the 2nd, or, the highest rated OL.

I find it very hard to believe that he is not at the top of our board simply due to Andy’s affinity for athletic lineman.

I could absolutely see this guy taken as Fisher’s replacement

Can he play guard for a year or two? Because I think it's a year too early to take someone who's nothing more than a backup for now. If he can slide inside then that's not a bad pick, along with any other OT prospect we may consider early.

Knowing that we can expect compensatory picks next year, would we trade 2021 pick(s) to get back into the 3rd/4th with an additional pick this year? Do that in addition to a trade down and having two 2nd's and another 4 picks between the 3rd-4th would be nice.

Does anyone have some impressive tape of Ruiz that would make me feel better about potentially drafting this dude in the first round? From everything I've seen Im just not impressed. Cant locate any footage of him flat out blowing people off the ball or even a mean steak finishing blocks. I want to protect the franchise but unless a Quenton Nelson is on the board I can't justify interior offensive line in the first round. Would rather grab a playmaker or build the defense.

I mean his tape is really ****ing good for a guy that’s only 20 years old, so if you’ve watched and you aren’t impressed, I don’t know what to tell you

Willie Gay is not a good football player. Cool athlete, but that's it.

Correct.

Last year the Rams traded down With the Falcons from 31 to 45 and got a 3rd rd pick (79).

Then they traded 45 to NE for pick 56 and got another 3rd rd pick (101).

That’s the hope for me. Trade down multiple times and go from 3 top 100 picks to 5.

This guy's going to get a close look from the Chiefs partly because he played well in college, and partly because his father played DB in the NFL for 14 years, so he's got that "been there, done that," attitude that Patrick brought to the NFL. He's not going to be overwhelmed by the bright lights at the next level, and he probably has had his father teaching him the position from an early age. He's going to come into the league with a lot more knowledge of the pro game than most draftees.

From a similar thread:

"I don't recall a draft in which there were so many players the Chiefs could potentially pick in the first round. Typically we're able to narrow things down to a handful of players but this year it feels like there are ~20+ potential picks. Maybe we should trade back?

In no particular order:

Swift RB
Dobbins RB
Higgins WR
Pittman WR
Raegar WR
Ruiz OC/G
Madabuike DT
Blacklock DT
Murray ILB
Queen ILB
Diggs CB
Johnson CB
Igbinooghene CB
Terrell CB
Gladney CB
Fulton CB
McKinney S
Delpit S
Chinn S
Epenesa DE
Baun DE
Davidson DE

Edited: To include those you felt should be on the list

Questions:

1. Anyone I'm missing?

2. Which of these guys is your pick at #32?"

TambaBerry 04-10-2020 07:16 AM

Literally any pick outside of qb is fine with me.
