Let's not get too excited here. Phyllis had a horrible game and made it very easy for MP as well.

Keenan Allen has been one of the most dominant receivers in the league. He certainly didn't make it easy for MP. Rivers had a horrible game because his receivers were blanketed. It's just one game, but it's hard to believe the lengths some people are going to discredit the performance. It was a dominant performance.

I'm curious what the Chiefs would have to do to have a dominant win...I mean, when we're awesome, in the eyes of some, it's because the other team just sucked.

Considering we're only awesome vs. winning teams it's a reason to hope.

We all know how hope is used as a barbed wire wrapped baseball bat to beat us into ambivalence...but it's there...

The first INT looked like he was fielding a punt that wasn't a skill play by any means then he runs around holding the ball extended in one hand like an idiot.

Ragland actually punched the ball out on the fumble.

2nd INT was a nice play.

Well. I mean, apart from just about every part of this post being factually inaccurate, I guess you've got a point.

Sorensen had the spatial awareness of a toddler most of then night. That's a pick if Dirty Dan just stays the hell out of the way. To whatever extent you're trying to criticize Peters for having perfect position for a red zone interception, I guess you're going to have to explain to me what else he could've done.

Ragland didn't punch that ball out. Peters pulled it out and Ragland delievered a hit as the ball was coming free to ensure that the WR couldn't pull it back in, but that was Peters that created that fumble.

On the first interception, you realize that wasn't Peters man, right? Parker was on him and Peters was covering Allen. Peters read the play, saw what was happening and peeled off to provide the support that made that play look worse than it was. Peters did a great job diagnosing and tracking that ball.

Do better next time.

I wonder if he’s picking up anything from Revis. I know Revis is past his prime but he’s probably one of the best guys to learn new techniques from at that position.

My buddy and I always said that you could tell the kind of game Sean Smith was going to have through one simple test - is he dancing during breaks? When he wasn't feeling it, he had a very 'businesslike' demeanor out there or he just seemed tuned out altogether.

But when he was fired up from the opening kick, you knew he was going to wear his guy out.

The entire damn defense was showing energy during breaks that we haven't seen all year. They were waving arms to the crowd, psyching each other up, yelling, dancing, just otherwise looking fired up to be out there.

They seemed to realize that this was essentially a playoff game and they were excited to be there. It was a massive change.

But I can’t get to terrible human being based on what he does on a field of football. To each their own.

Feel like it’s become an either or topic

I don't care what his political/social beliefs are. I might agree or disagree but I honestly don't care.

I don't care if he's flashy, emotional, or controversial. His personality might make him the most or least popular Chief. I don't care about this either.

If he costs the team due to what he does ON the field I do care. If he draws penalties, throws fits and draws penalties after the play, and hurts the team I do care.

Last week he was perfect. I don't think he had a single penalty, he had two INT's, and no after play drama. He was exactly what we wanted.

He keeps playing like he did last week and the worst of the haters will come around...

Sadly, the biggest haters hate peters for reasons that have nothing to do with football. So i think there are quite a few who will take a very very long time to come around. You can already see the lengths people are going to discredit his play on Saturday. Even if peters plays with the same energy and focus, prepare for the next few weeks for every single small mistake to get picked apart as if hes terrible at everything. That's unfortunately how things work these days. Thankfully, I do think most fans here can separate football from social views. But the most reasonable voices aren't always the loudest ones.

I still think he's a shit brick.

I hope he ends the season strong so they can get good value for him.
Yes, I understand that probably won't happen but he's by far my least favorite Chief.

I don't really care if he's an asshole or a selfish prick. I DO care that his effort is often lacking and he avoids tackling.

Peters is a ticking time bomb on this team.

Apart from a 1-2 month stretch this year, how often has his effort been lacking? There's no excuse for his recent behavior. But nobody ever accused him of effort in the past. The Peters we saw against the chargers is similar to the peters we've consistently seen in kc. This isn't a randy moss situation where he loafs on half of the plays every game.

well, I guess I'll add his kneeling, tantrum throwing on the sidelines and stupid penalties to the lack of effort in tackling that annoys the hell out of me.

Aside from his 1-2 month stretch ROFL Thats half the god damn season. If I ****ed off half the work year their wouldn't have been any bacon.

Nobody seems to support his behavior the past 1-2 months. But he has 3 years in the books and it hasn't been a problem outside of those 1-2 months. So far it's a one time deal. Not a trend.
